Disney Needs to Build These Restaurants at the Theme Parks

Snuggly Duckling
Snuggly Duckling

Disney is known for creating immersive experiences for their guests. Many people believe the immersive ‘Disney experience’ is what truly makes the parks so special, and more than just an amusement park with rides. While there are some amazing themed restaurants at Disney, there are still a few we wish they would add!

The Snuggly Duckling- Evert time I pass the amazing Tangled bathrooms I think about this huge missed opportunity! How awesome would it be to have Tangled themed drinks and a meal right in Fantasyland? This would be a great spot for a quick-service location with counter service. While we’re at it, how about a whole Tangled themed area?

Tiana’s Place- With the retheming of Splash Mountain on the horizon, now would be the perfect time to build Tiana’s Place at Disney World! We already know Disney makes amazing beignets, why not serve them up alongside some delicious New Orleans-inspired dishes? Tiana is the only Disney princess to own a restaurant and I would love to see her dream come to life at Disney! I would like to see a full table-service location with live jazz music and a full menu of Louisiana favorites. Of course, Tiana should make her rounds to guests during dinner and pose for photos. A beautiful outdoor Bayou theme would fit this restaurant beautifully!

A Full Table-Service Star Wars Themed Restaurant- Now, I really love Oga’s Cantina and Docking Bay 7, but Galaxy’s Edge could really use a table-service location too! Just think of the theming! I’m picturing the servers and staff in full costume representing all of the species from around the galaxy. Docking Bay 7 does a great job of bringing a unique twist to classic dishes, and I think a table-service restaurant could push this even further.

A New and Better Pizza Planet in Toy Story Land- Some of you may remember when PizzeRizzo was actually Pizza Planet. I remember this. I personally think Disney made a big mistake by closing Pizza Planet and not adding it to Toy Story Land. I’m picturing a much better Pizza Planet than the one from the past. I’m picturing a restaurant with great pizza, immersive theming, and lots of fun arcade games- of course with little aliens as prizes! I really think not including this restaurant in Toy Story Land was a huge missed opportunity. it would be a great place for parents to sit and relax in the air conditioning while their kids were occupied playing games.

A Mulan-themed Restaurant in EPCOT- I would love to see Nine Dragons in the China Pavilion at EPCOT add a Mulan theme. The atmosphere and cuisine are already there, it would be so much fun if subtle nods to the movie were added. Of course, it would be great if Mulan herself would also make appearances, as she is not a very common character to see.

Could any ofthese restaurants be on in the works? I certainly hope so!
