You’ve booked your resort and tickets, made your dining reservations and secured your fast passes the only thing left to decide is “what will I use all these snack credits on?” “Snack credit” can be such a confusing term because people think it has to be a typical snack- chips, candy, a drink- when there are so many more (in my opinion better) options out there! You want to make your snack credits count! Here is a list of some of the most delicious, biggest and best snacks you can get on the Disney Dining Plan.
Funnel Cake– A tasty fried dough treat covered in powdered sugar. Though there are several places in Disney World you can purchase a funnel cake, the two most popular places are from the American Pavilion in Epcot or in Liberty Square’s Sleepy Hollow at the Magic Kingdom.
Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich– Two giant, fresh baked cookies with an ice cream flavor of your choice squished in between. I am a chocolate chip cookie and vanilla ice cream kind of girl. You can find this amazing treat at the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor on Main Street in the Magic Kingdom.
The Plaza Ice Cream Sundae-Old fashioned vanilla ice cream with hot fudge, whipped cream, and a cherry served in a waffle bowl (is your mouth watering yet??) is another great use of the snack credit at the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor in the Magic Kingdom.
Dole Whip Float- This is probably one of the most popular treats at Disney World – Pineapple vanilla soft serve with pineapple juice. It can be found at Aloha Isle at Magic Kingdom and Pineapple Lanai at the Polynesian Resort.
Beignets- These tasty New Orleans style treats can be found at Port Orleans French Quarter resort. A fried square French donut coated with powdered sugar. They are made fresh and hot right in front of you.
Warm Cinnamon Roll– you can find this at Gaston’s Tavern in Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom. They are huge and perfect as a breakfast or for sharing as a snack.
Starbucks– Starbucks has plenty of food options that are snack credits but the best snack credit here is their drinks. ANY DRINK and ANY SIZE qualify as a snack credit! Go for that trenta frappuccino , you’re on vacation!
Smoothies- Strawberry-Banana, Orange or Raspberry smoothies can be found at Aunt Gravitys Galactic Goodies in Tomorrowland at the Magic Kingdom. They are delicious and refreshing!
Mickey Pretzel (w/cheese)- Mickey shaped soft pretzels. There is something about a pretzel in the shape of a Mickey head. It has the perfect consistency of chewy outside with a soft bready inside.
Mickey Premium Ice Cream bar– a classic confection, vanilla ice cream in the shape of a Mickey head on a stick dipped in chocolate. There is just something about this and no trip is complete without one of these!
Some other great uses of snack credits are snacking around the world at the Food & Wine Festival- If you’re going to be visiting during this time, booths are set up around the world with various food items that are snack credits. Or if you find the end of your trip is here (and that always happens way too fast) you can purchase candy, cookies, rice krispie treats and other food items from your resorts gift shop to bring home as souvenirs.
