Everyone knows that Disney World is a world-class family vacation destination, but did you also know that it is a foodie paradise? One of the highlights of every visit for my family is checking out the new restaurants. 2019 is bringing eight new restaurants for guests to enjoy.
1 – Jaleo, Disney Springs
Celebrity Chef José Andrés is bringing his talents to the new Jaleo at Disney Springs. This new venue opened to the public on March 17 and is serving Spanish tapas, paella and sangria. They will also be featuring an extensive array of Spanish cheeses, wines and sherries.
2 – Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo, Galaxy’s Edge – Hollywood Studios
One of two dining venues that will be available to guests when Galaxy’s Edge opens to guests on August 29, this quick service location promises to serve intergalactic fare that is unusual, exotic and completely delicious! The restaurant is designed to resemble a working hangar bay.
3 – Oga’s Cantina, Galaxy’s Edge – Hollywood Studios
While not technically a restaurant, Oga’s Cantina is the brand new bar that will be opening on August 29 with the debut of Galaxy’s Edge. My husband and I are so excited about this new venue that I just had to include it on the list! Saddle up to the bar to enjoy specialty cocktails including the Blue Bantha milk and Jedi Mind Trick.
4 – Topolino’s Terrace, Disney’s Riviera Resort
Walt Disney World’s latest hotel, the Riviera Resort, will be opening in fall 2019 and will feature Topolino’s Terrace as one of the dining options. Located on the roof of the new resort, this venue will have fantastic views of both Epcot and Hollywood Studios. It will be a great spot to catch views of the parks’ nighttime spectaculars. In addition to serving dishes that recall the cuisine of the Italian and French Riviera, they will also be open for a prix-fixe character breakfast daily.
5 – Toledo, Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort
Another rooftop venue opening at a Disney World resort this year, Toledo is slated to open in July in Coronado Springs new Gran Destino tower. Tapas, steak and seafood will be featured at this Spanish haven. This location will also serve up spectacular views.
6 – Three Bridges Bar & Grill, Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort
Another new dining venue opening at Coronado Springs resort this year is the Three Bridges Bar & Grill. This new restaurant will serve sandwiches, salads, shared plates and more at a relaxing lakefront location.
7 – City Works Eatery & Pour House, Disney Springs
Opening in Disney Springs this summer, the City Works Eatery & Pour House offers classic American fare and 80 beers on tap! This new restaurant will also have many TV screens throughout the venue, making it the perfect place to catch a viewing of your favorite sporting event.
8 – NBA Experience, Disney Springs
This expansive new venue is also not technically a restaurant, but there will be food options available on site. Opening August 12, this new interactive facility will be on the must-see visit for every NBA fan. You will be able to walk through a players’ tunnel into a replica of a modern-day NBA arena. Over a dozen games and challenges are available to bring every angle of the player experience to life.
