Tip #1: Use The Disney Countdown Clock Or Create Your Own

Wondering just how many days are left before your next Disney trip? Guests can use the Disney x Citizen countdown clock in the My Disney Experience and Disneyland apps to count the days until their hotel stays at Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort. The app also shows artwork specific to the resort you’re staying at on either coast. And let’s not forget that there is also a countdown app for Disney Cruise Line guests as well.

If you want to pass the time with a DIY project, create a paper chain like you might remember from school days. It’s a fun way to involve the kids and there are so many different colors you can use!

Or if you’re visiting during the holiday season, add some festive flair. Create a special countdown calendar similar to an Advent calendar. Each day reveals fun activities, dining reservations, and other little surprises to look forward to on your vacation.

Tip #2: Enjoy Themed Disney Movie Nights

To count down to your next Disney vacation, have a Disney movie night themed around a ride or land you’re most excited about! Watch Peter Pan to get ready to Peter Pan’s Flight or Ratatouille for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. Add in a tasty dish related to the movie as well to really get in the Disney spirit.

Tip #3: Remember and Share Old Disney Memories

As your children get older or if your family is more spread out, get excited for an upcoming trip by sharing pictures and memories from Disney vacations past. Start with older pictures and work your way up to more recent memories the closer you get to your check-in date!
