4 Reasons We Love Epcot World Showcase: The ‘American Adventure’

You’re halfway through your journey around the “world” when you set your sights on the “American Adventure”! Dressed in its colonial-style best, this stop has all the attention to detail that you can find at the other countries around the World Showcase! If you’re one who tends to pass on by this stop – on your next visit, make sure you take in the 4 reasons we love the American Adventure Pavilion!

  1. American Dining Galore
    • For those that have a soft spot in their heart for American Cuisine, there are four spots to choose from!
      1. Fife & Drum Tavern
        • You can find some great Disney classics here! Not a fan of the Pretzel in Germany? A Mickey Pretzel is sure to lift your spirits. Still, most people make their way here for some popcorn to snack on, a quick hot dog, or the famous Jumbo Turkey Leg. You can even find a beverage here called, “The American Dream” which is a sugary sweet drink that has Frozen Fanta Wild Cherry, Vanilla Ice Cream, and Frozen Fanta Blue Raspberry Slushy!
      2. Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue
        • No real explanation is needed here – it’s in the name! There is yet to be anyone more passionate about America than Sam Eagle from The Muppets. He’s so passionate in fact, that he set up shop in the American Adventure and is set to be here for quite some time. Start to salivate when you see the delicious BBQ offers, such as a Sliced Texas Beef Brisket Sandwich or Kansas City Smoked Half-Chicken. And no worries, if you just want a simple cheeseburger, well don’t you worry – they have that too!
      3. Funnel Cake Stand
        • Now it wouldn’t be right to leave the good ol’ American Adventure without checking out the delicious varieties of Funnel Cake that this stand has to offer! You can find a simple Funnel Cake with Sugar or Chocolate Sauce here, but if you are hungry for something a little more, sample the Cookies ‘n Cream Funnel Cake, would ya?
      4. Block & Hans
        • Don’t worry! You can find a Mickey Pretzel here as well – but normally, at this establishment, your eyes are on the Ales. If you’re not a huge Ale fan, they have a lovely IPA and Cider as well!
  2. Artful Shopping
    • Stores selling Disney-inspired Art can be found throughout your Disney World trip – but located beside The American Adventure is an Art of Disney store for fans to peruse. Figurines, paintings, limited prints and so much more can be found! Even if you have no intention to buy, stop by and see all the talent they have displayed!
  3. US History 101
    • Well, you’ve made it to The American Adventure! This incredible show houses 35 audio-animatronics that assist in explaining Americas story. As the Walt Disney Worlds website states, “You’ll even encounter luminaries like Susan B. Anthony, Frederick Douglass, Thomas Jefferson, Chief Joseph, and Teddy Roosevelt, among others.”. This show is a true crash course in American history that simply needs to be checked out!
  4. Plenty of Attractions to go Around!
    • Still looking for more? Well make sure you check out the American Heritage Gallery. Within the gallery, you’ll find the current exhibition highlighting American Indian artistry. It highlights stunning works of the Native communities spanning ‘7 geographic regions across the United States’.
    • For those looking for a musical moment, the Voices of Liberty can be found in the rotunda of The American Adventure Pavilion! Also, make sure you check daily scheduling to make sure you don’t miss any performances that can be found on the America Gardens Theater! During the holidays, you can find the famous Candelight Processional!
