With today being President’s Day, it is the perfect time to celebrate an attraction that, well, celebrates our nation’s presidents! Here are 5 fun facts you may not know about Walt Disney World‘s Hall of Presidents!
The Attraction changes every time a new President is elected- As guests may or may not know, the Hall of Presidents is currently under refurbishment to add our nation’s newest President, Joe Biden. Every time our country elects a new president, a new animatronic is added to the attraction.
The use of the Great Seal- The lobby inside the Hall of Presidents is the only place other than the White House that anyone can see the Great Seal of the United States! Using the Great Seal actually required congressional approval!
The Narration– The narration is provided by David Morse, the actor who portrayed George Washington in HBO’s miniseries John Adams.
The Liberty Building– The building itselfwas actually designed to look like Independence Hall in Philidelphia! There is a sign on the building that reads 1787, which represents the year that the United States Constitution was signed.
There are tons of Presidential Artifacts- The entire waiting area and queue is actually full of amazing artifacts from our history! There are numerous portraits of previous presidents, a microscope owned by John Quincy Adams, and even a golf club owned by Woodrow Wilson! It is practically a miniature presidential museum! Be sure to take your time and explore this queue next time you are waiting for the attraction to start.
So whether you enjoy this attraction for the patriotism and history, or you just like to get a quick nap in, the Hall of Presidents is a very unique and special attraction that celebrates the learders of our great nation!
