One of the things we here at Disney Addicts love most about Disneyland is that you find yourself in the heart of Southern California where there is no shortage of amazing activities.  Disney knows that many guests booking a Disneyland vacation package may want to adventure a little further afield and enjoy some of the other activities the area has to offer.  With this in mind they have several add-ons available that can be applied directly to your Disneyland vacation package making it easier than ever to enjoy a few San Diego area highlights.  Here’s a rundown of the add-ons currently available to book.

1. The OC Beach Bus Tour – (pictured) It’s hard to not feel the pull of the ocean during your visit to the theme parks and this tour provides the perfect opportunity for you to head to the sandy beaches of the Pacific and soak up the sun whether its for a few hours or most of the day.   This scenic bus tour makes stops at Huntington, Newport and Laguna Beaches.  The tours leave Anaheim at 8am, 12pm and 3:30 pm and return buses depart at 11:30am, 2:30 pm and 5:30pm.  The cost of the tour is $46 for adults (16+) and $29 for ages (3-15).

The Aquarium of the Pacific – Located just 30 minutes away from Disneyland, this is one of the largest Aquariums in the United States and boasts over 1,000 species from sea lions to spider crabs and puffins to sharks there so much to take in.   For $29.95 per adult (12+)  and $17.95 per child (8-11), you can arrange to take a trip and check out all that the aquarium has to offer.

Knotts Berry Farm –  If you’re a theme park lover than Knott’s Berry farm, which is only about 20 minutes from Disneyland could be the perfect add-on to your vacation package.  Known as much for its boysenberry pie and chicken dinner as it is for its 35 attractions, you’ll find everything from roller coasters and family raft rides to Camp Snoopy, the perfect location for little ones to let off some steam.  Visitors can also opt for a combo ticket providing access to Soak City a 13 acre water park.  Tickets are roughly $75 per adult (12 +) and $45 for children ages 3-11.  Though tickets must be arranged separately and can be purchased on the day, Disneyland can book transportation to take you to and from the park at a cost of $15 per person.

4. Legoland California –  Located just 60 minutes from Disneyland Resort, this theme park is the perfect day trip for Lego lovers young and old and features 50 rides,  shows and attractions including the Coastersaurus in Dino Land.  Legoland is definitely a fun-filled family destination worthy of a day away from Disneyland.  Disney offers transportation to and from the theme park at a cost of $50 per adult and $35 per child. Theme park tickets options vary but start around $95 per adult (ages 12+ and $89 for children (3-12).

5.  SeaWorld – Located 2 hours away from Disneyland, buses can be arranged to take guests from your Disneyland hotel to SeaWorld.  The cost is $50 per adult and $35 per child.  Here you’ll find an abundance rides, shows and attractions including the new See One Ocean show featuring Shamu.  SeaWorld Adventure Park tickets start at $93 for adults (10+) and $87 for children (3-9).

6. San Diego Zoo – The perfect daytrip for Animal-lovers, the San Diego Zoo is  a 90 minute trip from Disneyland Resort.  Voted the #1 Zoo in the World by TripAdvisor in 2015, it is definitely worth a visit for those that can spare the time.  Here you’ll find over 4,000 animals from Gorillas to Koalas.    Tickets run about $52 per adult (12+) and $42 for children (3-11) and include access to the guided bus tours, aerial trams and the Children’s Zoo.   Round trip bus transport can be arranged through Disney at a cost of $50 per adult and $35 per child.

7. Medieval Times – San Diego – Those looking for a fun dining experience for the whole family need look no further than Medieval Times.  Enjoy a feast fit for a King while you watch knights duke it out with daring jousts and other Medieval pageantry.   The restaurant is only a 15 minute drive from Disneyland Resort making it the perfect out-of-the-ordinary evening meal.  You can tack both dining and transportation on to your Disneyland vacation package.  The transportation costs $15 per person and dinners start at $52 per adult (12+) and $42 per children (3-11).
