Immerse Yourself in these 7 Halloween Disney Movies at Disney Parks!

Halloween is fast approaching – less than a week away! If you are planning on heading to Walt Disney World or Disneyland during this spooktacular season, make sure you educate yourself on 7 Disney films that you’ll be able to see at the park. Whether it be in a parade or the ride itself, there are a few favorite movies that will make their appearance throughout the parks. So make sure you watch the following before hitting up your favorite theme park. Additionally, this list isn’t solely for the park frequenters. If you’ll be celebrating Halloween from the comfort of your own home, the movies listed below will definitely get you in the Halloween spirit – all without leaving your couch!\

• Haunted Mansion
  • 2023’s Haunted Mansion is out now on Disney+. If you’re a fan of this ride, this film is the one for you. Plenty of easter eggs and ride shoutouts throughout the film. Now, of course, this isn’t the only Haunted Mansion film. Learn more about the origins of the rides, and enjoy the modern-day adaptations that the ride help inspire!

According to Disney Parks Blog, “…At Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Walt Disney World, beware of hitchhiking ghosts! Spirits will be walking the land free from the mansion during Mickey’s “Boo-to-You” Halloween Parade. Keep your eyes open for gravediggers, tombstones, and waltzing ghosts! Watch out for Constance Hatchaway, the ghostly bride, as she leads the way looking for her next victim …” Additionally, Disneyland fans should not dispair – if you are headed to the exclusive Oogie Boogie Bash, keep an eye out for Constance and make sure you don’t pick up any hitchhiking ghosts you may see during the Frightfully Fun Parade!

• Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas
  • The Nightmare Before Christmas is simply a scream. It truly wouldn’t feel like Halloween in the parks without spotting the Pumpkin King! Disneyland Park gives a proper ode to Halloween by making sure you can spot Jack and Sally in New Orleans Square. There is also the Halloween Screams nighttime spectacular where you should keep an eye out for Zero! Lastly, for Disneyland, they’re in for a real scream. Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion gets a bit of a makeover with Haunted Mansion Holiday. Haunted Mansion mixed with Nightmare Before Christmas? Count us in!
    
    If you’re planning on Halloween at Disney World, you won’t be left out! Jack can be seen at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. You can even see Jack during the Not-So-Spooky Spectacular located at Cinderella Castle!

• Hocus Pocus & Hocus Pocus 2
  • There’s been a spell cast on the Magic Kingdom – and I feel that the Sanderson Sisters may have had something to do with it! Check out the Hocus Pocus Villian Spelltacular where you can spot Winifred, Sarah, and Mary! Obviously, their looks are stunning. So stunning that you may see Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck, and Clarabelle Cow donning their unmistakable frocks during Mickey’s “Boo-to-You” Halloween Parade. You can even spot them during the ticketed Oogie Boogie Bash at California Adventure!

• Cruella
  • The iconic Cruella has never been known to not make a splash. This iconic villain always has 2 things on her mind – Fashion, and Revenge. But during Halloween time, you can spot her on stage during the Oogie Boogie Bash. She has also been seen bringing the drama during her entrance at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and Boo to You Halloween Parade! 

• Maleficent: Mistress of Evil
  • Maleficent was destined to be one of Disney’s all-time greats in Villanry. From Sleeping Beauty to her own films, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil should be on your watch list this Halloween season. Watch Maleficent during Mickey’s “Boo-to-You” Halloween Parade. If you are destination Disneyland, make sure you head to Tomorrowland where you can MEET this powerful sorceress before the “Disney Villains Dance Party”.

•  Halloweentown
  • If you’re looking for a place that loves Halloweentown as much as the residents themselves, going to Walt Disney World and Disneyland is the treat for you. Glowing pumpkins galore – some shaped like your favorite characters line the street during the Main Street Pumpkin Festival. In Animal Kingdom, animals are given pumpkins as enrichment. Throughout the parks, the Halloween season is in the air and we simply love it – it’s truly like stepping into Halloweentown!

• The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad
  • This Headless Horseman walks the night – down Main Street, U.S.A. of all places! Need proof? Check out Mickey’s Boo-to-You Haloween Parade! If you “head” to California Adventure, you’ll spot a statue of the Headless Horseman! At the Oogie Boogie Bash, he leads the Frightfully Fun Parade and holds a glowing jack-o-lantern for all to see!
