If you’re planning (or thinking about planning!) to board the Disney Dream for a Disney Cruise vacation with your family – may I be the first to congratulate you on one of the smartest decisions you’ll ever make – fun for the whole family – dining, shopping, relaxing and plenty for the kids too – awaits you aboard the Dream! But one thing you might not have known is just how many sweet treats they crank out onboard! If you’re like me and you love desserts and all things SWEET – then you’ll want to be sure you read on for these top ways to satisfy your sweet tooth onboard the Disney Dream:
Vanellope’s Sweets and Treats: this one is for all those Wreck It Ralph fans out there – remember when Venellope built her own race car out of CANDY!? Well I do (I still sometimes wish my car was made of candy!) – and so this “Sugar Rush” themed dessert shop was obviously first on my list of places to visit on the ship – from ice cream sundaes (including gelato served out of a trophy!), to baked goods and all kinds of candy – I can’t help but being like a kid in a candy shop at this amazing spot!
Keep Your “Cool”: While enjoying a stroll on the deck or a dip in the pool, you might just want to cool off with a delicious frozen treat – so why not grab some soft serve ice cream at “Eye Scream” – an ice cream treat spot named after everyone’s favorite monster – Mike Wazowski, or sip a delicious “Frozone” smoothie by the pool to stay chill
“Experience” Dessert At Remy: Remy is the Dream’s “adult only” restaurant aboard the ship – and it boasts not only a sophisticated French menu, but they also offer the “Remy Dessert Experience” – a 5 course dessert menu – executed just for you by Remy’s Pastry Chef & Executive Chef – who will walk you through the history and process of each sweet dish. This is truly the ultimate experience for dessert lovers like me (in fact might I recommend you skip dinner and go straight to dessert for this? Because I did!)
Get Your Sugar Fix At Brunch: Palo is an adults only fine dining spot aboard the Dream that serves up an amazing brunch – including champagne galore, a buffet of amazing international cheeses, made to order entrees (including eggs Florentine, pizzas, and much more including other Italian inspired options) – All of which is served while you enjoy ocean views from nearly any table in the restaurant! But the real star here is the baked goods – from tons of amazing fresh pastries, to tons of mini-sized desserts – we’re talking cannolis, cheesecakes, cream puffs, cakes, mousse and so much more – a true sweet lover’s paradise
Casual Sweets At Cabanas: If you’re not in the mood for a full sit down dining experience, then follow the “boardwalk” over to Cabanas – the Dream’s onboard buffet – serving up casual breakfast, lunch & dinner daily. The cooking is hardly casual though – you’ll find tons of fresh and innovative menu items here, and if you’re like me you may just wander over to the dessert section first – where you’ll find an ever changing assortment of amazing items – like carrot cake, cookies, ice cream sundaes, and much much more
The dining experiences available aboard the Disney Dream are unlike any other – unique, fresh, innovative, and best of all – DELICIOUS – especially the desserts and other sweet treats you’ll find during your cruise! Feel free to try them all because hey – if you can’t eat dessert first on vacation, then when can you?
