It’s May and the summer heat is coming! Sometimes the Florida sun is just too much and I need a little break from the heat. This is when I like to choose one of my favorite slow-moving relaxing attractions and take a little rest. Some of these attractions aren’t rides but air-conditioned shows! Here are 6 of my absolute favorite relaxing attractions at Walt Disney World.
Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover
Guests of all ages love this attraction located in Tomorrowland in Disney’s Magic Kingdom. This attraction gives guests a fun and leisurely 10-minute tour of Tomorrowland. The attraction also provides narration and a behind-the-scenes look at multiple Tomorrowland attractions.
The Carousel of Progress
This attraction is not a ride, but an audio-animatronics stage show that showcases the evolution of technology in the 20th century. The show takes place in a large, rotating air-conditioned theater and lasts 21 minutes. The Carousel of Progress is also located in Tomorrowland in Disney’s Magic Kingdom Park. It is a great attraction to cool off and get some rest, but you may find yourself singing the theme song for the rest of the day!
The Hall of Presidents
Located in the Liberty Square section of Disney’s Magic Kingdom Park, The Hall of Presidents is one of the best relaxing attractions to experience! This is because it is an air-conditioned show that lasts a full 25 minutes! First, watch an original film showcased on 3 massive digital projection screens. After the film, a curtain rises and all 45 US presidents appear in animatronic form. This experience displays Walt Disney’s patriotism and respect for the office of the United States Presidency. Although some guests just prefer to use the show as a wonderful spot to rest.
Spaceship Earth
Next on the list of relaxing attractions is EPCOT’s Spaceship Earth (the big silver ball). Not only is it the most iconic ride in the park, but it is also a slow-moving ride that lasts a full 15 minutes! Riders embark on a journey through humanity’s history of communication. This ride features some awesome animatronics and scenes from world history.
Living with the Land
Another attraction at Disney’s EPCOT park, Living with the Land is a relaxing boat ride. On this ride guests get behind-the -scenes look at Disney’s huge sustainable greenhouse! The boat tour lasts just over 14 minutes, and it’s definitely one of my top relaxing attractions at Diney World. This ride is also extremely educational and informative!
The Enchanted Tiki Room
This attraction is another animatronic show, but this sow features singing birds and plants! The Enchanted Tiki Room is found in Adventureland in Disney’s Magic Kingdom Park. It’s amazing that this attraction first debuted in 1963 at Disneyand Park and featured brand new technology. This show is so cute and lasts nearly 15 minutes, which makes it a great spot for a relaxing break.
