Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa is most definitely at the very top of the list. There is no question that the Grand Floridian goes all out for Christmas. From the massive decorated Christmas tree to the life-sized gingerbread house display, The Grand Floridian is the picture-perfect setting for a Christmas wonderland with its Victorian ambiance.
Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is another one of the very top Disney resorts to visit during Christmas. The resort itself has a cozy, rustic, cabin-like feel. When the rustic ambiance is met with beautiful and ornate decorations and a massive Christmas tree in the lobby- it is a sight to behold!
Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts
Although these Disney resorts are connected, they each offer something unique yet equally impressive at Christmas. Yacht Club erects a huge village with a train that runs through it. The village of course includes Disney Easter eggs and hidden Mickeys. Over at Beach Club, a huge, elaborate gingerbread carousel display is featured. Although neither resort has a massive iconic Christmas tree, they are both worth visiting during the holidays.
Disney’s Contemporary Resort
With the tallest Christmas tree of any Disney hotel (although it’s outside) and life-size edible displays inside, Disney’s Contemporary Resort really gets into the holiday spirit! No tickets to the after-hours Christmas event? From Disney’s Contemporary Resort, guests can see and hear some of the magic from the comfort of their hotel! This makes for one of the best Disney resorts to visit during the holidays. The close proximity to Disney’s Magic Kingdom Park is also a huge bonus.
Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground
If you have never visited the campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground during Christmas you are really missing out! The campers go all out to decorate their RVs and campsites! Some of these displays are beyond impressive and extravagant. It is so much fun to see what guests have come up with! You could spend an entire afternoon or evening just taking a stroll and checking out all of the awesome displays.
Honestly, there is no wrong resort to stay at during the holidays, as all of Disney is extra magical! These resorts are just a few that really stuck out. Disney at Christmas is something every Disney addict should experience at least once!
