Located in Shanghai, China, the resort is home to Shanghai Disneyland, Disneytown, Wishing Star Park, Shanghai Disneyland Hotel, and Toy Story Hotel. Guests can explore one-of-a-kind experiences that cannot be found at any other Disney park, including the world’s first and only Zootopia-themed land, the massive Enchanted Storybook Castle, and the breathtaking Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle for the Sunken Treasure attraction.

Unlike most Disney castles that represent a single princess, Enchanted Storybook Castle celebrates all Disney Princesses and Queens while serving as the centerpiece of the park. The castle is also the largest Disney castle ever built and features attractions, dining, character encounters, and spectacular daytime and nighttime entertainment.

Shanghai Disneyland is filled with unique lands including Adventure Isle, Treasure Cove, Tomorrowland, Fantasyland, Gardens of Imagination, Toy Story Land, and Zootopia. Fan-favorite attractions include TRON Lightcycle Power Run, Soaring Over the Horizon, Zootopia: Hot Pursuit, Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle for the Sunken Treasure, and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.

One of the biggest highlights is Zootopia, which remains exclusive to Shanghai Disneyland. The immersive land places guests directly into the bustling mammal metropolis alongside Judy Hopps, Nick Wilde, and other beloved characters from the film. From themed dining and shopping to the groundbreaking Hot Pursuit attraction, the land has quickly become one of the park’s most popular experiences.
Beyond the theme park gates, Disneytown offers shopping, dining, and entertainment similar to Disney Springs, including the massive World of Disney Store and the iconic Giant Donald Duck floating on Wishing Star Lake. Guests can also unwind at Wishing Star Park, a scenic waterfront area perfect for relaxing after a day in the parks.

The resort currently features two themed hotels. Shanghai Disneyland Hotel offers an upscale experience with elegant Disney touches, while Toy Story Hotel immerses guests in the colorful world of Woody, Buzz, and the gang. Both hotels provide easy access to the parks and exclusive recreational offerings.

The future is also looking bright for Shanghai Disney Resort. Disney has already announced a brand-new Spider-Man-themed land that will include a major new roller coaster, dining, shopping, and entertainment experiences. Additional hotel expansion projects are also planned as the resort continues to grow.
As Shanghai Disney Resort celebrates its first decade, it remains one of the most ambitious and unique Disney destinations on the planet, offering experiences that even seasoned Disney fans won’t find anywhere else.
