I’ll admit it: Disneyland popcorn buckets are one of my weaknesses. Halloween Time runs through October 31, and the spooky lineup this year is seriously good. These are the seasonal Disneyland popcorn buckets I’d prioritize.
Villains Around the Cauldron Halloween Popcorn Bucket
Ursula, the Evil Queen and Maleficent are gathered around a flaming cauldron on this one, and I have a feeling their secret ingredient is popcorn. It comes filled with popcorn, and there’s a limit of ten per person, per transaction.
You’ll find it at most popcorn carts in Disneyland park, including near City Hall, Central Plaza, the Haunted Mansion, the Mark Twain Riverboat, Fantasyland Theatre, Star Trader, Chip ‘n’ Dale’s GADGETcoaster and on “it’s a small world” Promenade. In Disney California Adventure, look for the carts near Carthay Circle Restaurant, at Grizzly Peak Airfield and on Pixar Pier.
Haunted Mansion Hatbox Ghost Bucket
This might be my favorite of the season. The bucket is shaped like the Hatbox Ghost’s hatbox, complete with his ghostly green grin, and it’s easily one of the most creative Disneyland popcorn buckets I’ve seen. Depending on the location, it comes with popcorn, Funnel Cake Fries, or a 6-pack of Chocolate Chip or Pumpkin Cookies.
Find it in Disneyland park at Harbour Galley, Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree and the popcorn carts near the Mark Twain Riverboat and the Haunted Mansion. The limit is two per person, per transaction.
The Headless Horseman Bucket
The Headless Horseman is galloping through Disney California Adventure on his black steed, jack-o’-lantern raised high, and he’s now available all day. It comes with popcorn, French fries, regular cotton candy or a chocolate chip cookie, depending on where you buy it.

Vampire Mickey Mouse Bucket
Mickey in a cape and top hat with a jack-o’-lantern? Too cute to resist, and a great pick if you want one of the Halloween Disneyland popcorn buckets without a scavenger hunt. This is the easiest Halloween bucket to track down, with spots all over both parks, including most popcorn carts, Alien Pizza Planet, Galactic Grill, Harbour Galley, Refreshment Corner, Hollywood Lounge and Smokejumpers Grill. Bluey Bucket and Bluey Sipper
Bluey fans, this pair is for you. My Tips for Scoring Disneyland Popcorn Buckets
After years of chasing Disneyland popcorn buckets, here’s what I’ve learned:
- Use mobile order when you can. Many of the quick-service spots above offer mobile order in the Disneyland app, which can save you from standing in a long line.
- Know the limits. Most novelties are limited to two per person, per transaction, while some Halloween items allow up to ten.
- Pick your snack wisely. The included snack or drink varies by location, so if you really want cookies instead of popcorn, check the menu first.
- Go early for Halloween items. Seasonal novelties are here for Halloween Time, so I wouldn’t wait until the last week of October.
