Disney price increases at Disney World and Disneyland

I’ve been covering Disney since 2009, and I can’t remember a Tuesday quite like this one. Today’s Disney price increases hit nearly everything at once: 2027 holiday tickets, Annual Passes, Lightning Lane, Disneyland tickets and even the coffee I count on to get me to rope drop. It all landed on October 6, 2026, mostly before lunch.

Grab a (now $4.99) coffee. Here’s every change, old and new, plus how I’d plan around it.

Today’s Disney Price Increases at a Glance

  • Disney World tickets: A record $229 one-day peak at Magic Kingdom and EPCOT on select December 2027 dates.
  • Disney World Annual Passes: Up $10 to $120, effective immediately. The Incredi-Pass is now $1,749.
  • Disney World Lightning Lane: Premier Pass ceiling up $50 per park; peak Single Pass up $1 to $3.
  • Disneyland: Four ticket tiers up $5 and Lightning Lane Multi Pass up $1, but Magic Key and parking prices are frozen.
  • Disney World quick-service: Most items up 50 cents to $1. Coffee and fountain drinks are both $4.99.

Disney World Tickets: A New $229 Holiday Peak for 2027

Cinderella Castle graphic reading Disney World tickets just hit a new high, for the $229 holiday 2027 peak price

Disney World opened tickets for November and December 2027, so you can now buy through December 31, 2027. With them came a record: a standard one-day ticket tops out at $229 at Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, the most the resort has ever charged for a day.

Pricing is still date-based, so $229 is the ceiling, and only on a handful of the busiest dates. Each park’s highest one-day, one-park price (ages 10 and up, before tax):

ParkDec. 2026 PeakDec. 2027 PeakIncrease
Magic Kingdom$209$229+$20
EPCOT$209$229+$20
Disney’s Hollywood Studios$204$214+$10
Disney’s Animal Kingdom$184$189+$5

Which Dates Hit the Peak

  • Magic Kingdom: $229 on December 25 and 31, 2027. Last year’s $209 peak applied December 19 and December 22 to 31, 2026.
  • EPCOT: $229 on December 31, 2027 only, up from $209 on December 31, 2026.
  • Hollywood Studios: $214 from December 24 to 31, 2027, versus $204 from December 19 to 31, 2026.
  • Animal Kingdom: $189 from December 24 to 31, 2027, versus $184 from December 19 to 31, 2026.

That’s roughly 9.6 percent more at Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, 4.9 percent at Hollywood Studios and 2.7 percent at Animal Kingdom. The previous record was $219 at Magic Kingdom, set in April when January through October 2027 dates went on sale. Magic Kingdom only crossed $200 a year ago. That’s a fast climb.

One comfort: the lowest one-day ticket, $119 at Animal Kingdom, isn’t changing. Check your exact dates on Disney’s theme park ticket calendar.

Walt Disney World Annual Pass Prices: Up $10 to $120

Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde graphic reading Annual Pass prices just went up at Walt Disney World, with one pass up more than $100

Every Annual Pass costs more than it did yesterday, effective immediately:

Annual PassOld PriceNew PriceIncrease
Disney Pixie Dust Pass$489$499+$10 (about 2%)
Disney Pirate Pass$869$909+$40 (about 4.6%)
Disney Sorcerer Pass$1,099$1,139+$40 (about 3.6%)
Disney Incredi-Pass$1,629$1,749+$120 (about 7.4%)

Prices are before tax. The Incredi-Pass jump is three times the next-largest, widening its gap over the Sorcerer Pass to $610.

Who Feels It Most

  • Florida residents can choose from all four passes.
  • Eligible Disney Vacation Club members can buy the Sorcerer Pass or the Incredi-Pass.
  • Everyone else, including most out-of-state fans, can only buy the Incredi-Pass.

Eligibility didn’t change, so the biggest of today’s Disney price increases landed on the one pass every guest can buy. Out-of-state, non-DVC fans absorb the full $120; a Floridian on Pixie Dust pays $10 more. Higher tiers mostly buy fewer blockouts and more park reservations held at once. Pixie Dust is blocked out at peak periods and most weekends, and the Incredi-Pass has no blockouts at all. Details are on Disney’s Annual Pass page.

Lightning Lane Prices Tick Up, Too

The Lightning Lane Premier Pass price ceiling rises $50 at each park, and peak Single Pass prices for headliners like TRON Lightcycle / Run and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind are up $1 to $3. Lightning Lane Multi Pass pricing is unchanged.

Disney Experiences Chairman Thomas Mazloum told CNN Disney prices “market by market, rather than with one broad brush.” Disneyland proves it.

Disneyland Tickets and Magic Key: Small Bumps, Big Freeze

Sleeping Beauty Castle lit for the holidays with a graphic reading Disneyland raised prices too, but Magic Key holders get good news

Disneyland got the lightest touch of today’s Disney price increases, and the bigger story is what Disney left alone. On its tiered calendar, Tiers 1 through 4 go up $5, while Tiers 0, 5 and 6 don’t budge. Adult 1-Day, 1-Park prices:

Ticket TierOld PriceNew PriceChange
Tier 0$104$104No change
Tier 1$129$134+$5
Tier 2$149$154+$5
Tier 3$169$174+$5
Tier 4$184$189+$5
Tier 5$199$199No change
Tier 6$224$224No change

The biggest percentage jump is Tier 1, and even that is under 4 percent.

What Stayed the Same

  • Magic Key prices: No increase this fall.
  • Parking: Unchanged.
  • Multi-day, one-park tickets: Not going up.
  • The cheapest ticket: Still $104.

Lightning Lane Multi Pass Goes Up $1

  • Bought before your visit: $35 per person, up from $34.
  • Bought day of: Now starts at $38, up from $37, and can vary by date.

Check dates on the official Disneyland ticket calendar.

Disney World Quick-Service Dining: Even Coffee Costs More

Then the Disney price increases reached the food counter. Quick-service prices rose across Walt Disney World, mostly 50 cents to $1 per item, according to reports, from Casey’s Corner to the Contempo Cafe. Fountain drinks go from $4.79 to $4.99, and coffee jumps 70 cents, from $4.29 to $4.99. A sample of reported changes:

What These Disney Price Increases Mean for Your Trip

EPCOT's Imagination pavilion pyramids and monorail reflected in a pond lined with flowers

Here’s how I’d plan around today’s Disney price increases:

  • Wiggle holiday dates. The $229 days are December 25 and 31 at Magic Kingdom and December 31 at EPCOT. Shifting a day or two can change what you pay.
  • Add days. Multi-day tickets typically cost less per day than buying single days.
  • Redo the Annual Pass math. If a $1,749 Incredi-Pass no longer pencils out for how often you visit, a multi-day ticket may be the better value.
  • Budget for Lightning Lane. The Premier Pass price ceiling is $50 higher at each park. At Disneyland, buying Multi Pass ahead ($35) still beats day-of (from $38).
  • Target Disneyland’s lower tiers. Tier 0 held at $104, and Tiers 1 to 4 rose only $5.
  • Pad the dining budget. A family of four ordering entrées and drinks could pay several dollars more per meal than yesterday.
