Alaskan Cruise

When it comes to embarking on a Disney Cruise, one of our favorite destinations has to be Alaska.  On these magnificent sailings you’ll be totally immersed in nature with some of the most breathtaking views on the high seas! Everywhere you look, there’s something incredible to behold from lush valleys and wondrous green forests to magnificent glaciers and mountains.

The great thing about Disney’s fantastic fleet is that there are certainly no shortage of fantastic vantage points from which to check out Alaska’s beautiful vistas.  To give you a glimpse at some of the fantastic viewing options, here are a few of our favorites!

Disney Cruise Line

While Dining – One of our favorite places to enjoy the view is at Palo, Disney Wonder’s exclusive adults-only eatery specializing in delicious Italian dishes.  Every table in the restaurant offers views of the Alaskan wilderness with floor-to-ceiling windows.  This is one of the reasons why Palo is the perfect spot for your romantic date night! For family dining, hit the decks of Cabanas counter service eatery.  Weather permitting, the outdoor terrace is the perfect spot to enjoy the views and the Alaskan air!

Decks and Pools – You’ll find gorgeous unobstructed views of your Alaskan surroundings from the bow of the Ship up on Deck 12.  There’s also the hot tubs and the heated pools where you can enjoy a dip while taking in the sights.  If it gets a bit chilly, there’s also the covered promenade located on Deck 4 of the Disney Wonder. This location offers comfy lounge chairs and provides the perfect place to relax or curl up with a good book.

Comfy Spaces – Because let’s face it, its Alaska and sometimes the temperatures can be a bit nippy, it’s also nice to familiarize yourself with cozy spots like the Outlook Cafe.  Here you can enjoy a coffee or a cocktail while soaking in the amazing views.  And let’s face it, for the ultimate luxury, you can even enjoy the views from your own oceanview staterooms.  We highly recommend splurging a little on a verandah room where you can enjoy the scenery from the comfort of your private deck.  Room service is also complimentary so you can tuck into tasty treats while you sit back and relax.

In addition to the spots outlined above, your Disney cruise is filled with a myriad of fun ways to connect with nature. Whether it’s boarding a seaplane,  manning a dog sled, going on a fishing expedition or a scenic train journey, we promise that this is a vacation you’ll be talking about for years to come!
