Question: Are there Animation Classes offered at Walt Disney World?

Answer: Yes! Located in the Animation Courtyard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios you will find Disney’s Animation Academy. Classes are 20 minutes long and can accommodate 40 students. At the start of each class the instructor will poll the class to determine which character will be drawn. After a character has been chosen the instructor will guide the students through the various techniques used by Disney Animators to create our favorite animated icons.

If this is a “must do” for your crew, then I recommend arriving 10-15 minutes early for your desired session so as to secure a seat in the class. At the conclusion of the class the students have earned an amazing souvenir. The cost of Animation Academy is free for all guest as it is included with standard admission to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
