Can I bring outside food into Disney World?

We hear this question often. The answer is a surprising YES!!! Not only that, but you are also allowed to bring a cooler! Coolers must not be larger than 24″ (61 cm) long x 15″ (38 cm) wide x 18″ (46 cm) high, according to Disney’s official website. Anything smaller, however, is just fine!

Snacks, water bottles, juice, cans of soda are also welcomed! Do keep in mind that even though you can purchase it in the Parks, you are not permitted to bring alcohol in with you. That includes that Lapu Lapu you bought at Trader Sam’s before hopping on the Monorail to Magic Kingdon (ahem ….not that I know from experience or anything). Otherwise, pack your bag with anything you and your family may enjoy while there.

This is a great budget hack. Taking one or two meals into the park with you can save you well over $100 during the course of your visit. I’m not a big fan of Florida water so I bring distilled with me and fill up a Camel Bak in the morning and sip on it most of the day. This has never been an issue with security. On my visit, I specifically asked and they said it was perfectly acceptable.  We like to bring breakfast bars for a quick bite on the go too,

So on your next trip, use this hack to bring and save some money…or if you’re like me put that money to better use and hit up Mouse Gears or the Emporium!
