We here at Disney Addicts have taken enough Summer visits to Disney World to know that things get pretty darn hot during the afternoon. When the temperatures start to get to you, nothing cools you off quick like the amazing frozen treats you’ll find throughout Walt Disney World. Today we turn our attention to the Magic Kingdom, the home of some pretty tasty frozen snacks. To give you a taste, here are five of our favorites:
Mickey’s Kitchen Sink Sundae – You’ll find this delicious sundae at the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor. It makes the perfect shareable treat and even comes in this Mickey Pants souvenir take-home container. You can fill your sink with two scoops of ice cream and can top it with fudge, peanut butter and/or caramel. It also comes with a hefty dose of whipped cream and two cherries!
Ice Cream Cone with Mouse Ears – Let’s stay at the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor to long enough to talk about one of our other favorite treats. The Ice Cream Cone with Mouse Ears draws its inspiration from Mickey Mouse himself. It comes with one or two scoops of the ice cream of your choice and is topped with chocolate mouse ears. We recommend it with August’s Ice Cream Flavor of the month – Chocolate Fudge!
Dole Whip Float – No frozen treats list would be complete without this iconic snack. You’ll find it at Aloha Isle in Adventureland. It’s made with Dole Pineapple Juice and Pineapple Dole Whip soft serve. It is definitely the taste of being on holiday and is the perfect and refreshing afternoon snack!
Violet’s Force Field Punch – Head over to the Incredible Tomorrowland Expo where you’ll find this Incredibles-inspired treat at Cool Ship in Tomorrowland. Violet’s Force Field Punch is made up of vitaminwater acai-blueberry-pomegranate, blood orange and blueberry boba balls. There’s also Dash’s Super Lemonade with blueberry boba-balls. Both are so delicious you may want to pick up one of each.
Peter Pan Float – Here it is, the iconic treat that everyone is talking about this Summer. You’ll find the Peter Pan Float at Storybook Treats. It is made with key lime soft-serve and Sprite. It is topped with a chocolate feather to resemble Peter Pans cap.
If you’re squeezing in a Summer visit to Walt Disney World, we hope you’ll be able to give a couple of the frozen treats on our list a try. Your tastebuds will thank you!
