Slinky Dog Dash Hollywood Studios Night

The number one question I get asked is “When is the least crowded time to go to Walt Disney World?”.  There are a few ways to avoid crowds on your trip. You can choose to go in the “off season”, which may still be crowded. You can choose to take advantage of Extra Magic Hours for onsite guests, which may still be crowded. Or, you can choose to attend the special ticketed Disney After Hours events.

Disney After Hours Ticket Badge

Disney After Hours events are special nights in which a select Walt Disney World park is open for three hours to a limited number of guests. Tickets for this exclusive event are limited and may be pre-purchased.  Guests with Disney After Hours tickets may enter the select park at 7:00pm the night of the event. To be permitted to enjoy any attractions or partake in the included snacks and beverages, guests must show their Disney After Hours badge lanyard.

Your Disney After Hours ticket includes unlimited ice cream and bottled beverages.  Ever wonder how many Mickey Bars you could eat in a night? Now is your chance to find out!  There are also snack locations open for additional purchases.

If you enjoy riding twice (or three times) in a row without having to get off the ride then this is the ticket for you.  Our group was able to stay on until we needed to get off. Turns out Space Mountain twice with no break might make you a wee bit dizzy though.

I have participated in After Hours 3 times now and each time was well worth the cost of the ticket! Roaming the parks with no crowds was a treat in itself.  Riding as many times as we wanted was priceless.  Another thing I enjoyed was getting to take in the atmosphere and theming of areas and queues that normally are congested.  Each time, the night was peaceful, stress free, and packed with fun! Plus, unlimited ice cream, popcorn, sodas, and water was like hitting the jackpot!  Empty park, unlimited snacks, feeling like a VIP? Totally cool!

Cost:

Disney After Hours is not cheap, not going to try to sugar coat it.  Current pricing is $125.00 plus tax if pre-purchased, $129 plus tax if purchased day of event. Adult and child ticket is the same price.  Annual Passholders and DVC members receive discounted ticket price of $95 plus tax.  Disney After Hours guests can enter the park at 7:00pm the day of the event, regardless of event official start time.  This makes it a great idea for a non-park ticket day, such as arrival day. It’s also perfect for those looking for a date night or group activity on their next trip.
