Disney World had three different dinner shows that offer some great entertainment and fun for the entire family.  All three of the Disney World’s Dinner Shows are located at a Disney World resort. These make for great dinners when you are having a resort day or only looking to spend a half day at the parks.  They are more expensive than your average table service meal but they provide tons of entertainment, delicious food and a one of a kind experience. Let’s take a look at the three shows and you can decide which is best for your family!

Disney’s Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show is held at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. An enchanting luau with Polynesian dancing and an all you can eat, family style meal.  The meal consists of  delicious, island inspired dishes such as Island pulled pork, BBQ ribs, Lanoi roasted chicken, mixed vegetables, honey-lime slaw and their amazing pineapple coconut bread. Dessert is warm pineapple bread pudding with caramel sauce- yummy!  The show includes delightful entertainment from hula dancers to a fire-knife performer. Guest of all ages will enjoy dining in this open air covered theater. Beer and wine is included for guests 21+. The shows take place Tuesday- Saturday at 5:15pm and 8:15pm. Seating categories 2 and 3 are included on select dining plans. Prices for this show are $60+ for adults and $33+ for children.

Mickey’s Backyard BBQ  is located at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground.  It takes place on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings from 6:30-9:30pm.  A BBQ buffet with live country western music, line dancing and characters! This dinner takes place outdoors in an open air pavilion. The BBQ buffet consists of ribs, chicken, burgers, hot dogs, corn on the cob, baked beans, macaroni and cheese and more. There is also watermelon, unlimited ice cream and strawberry shortcake.  For the adults 21+ in your party, beer, wine and sangria is also included. Characters such as Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Chip and Dale mingle, dance, sign autographs and take pictures with the guests. It is not your typical character meal where they come table to table but you do get the chance to meet them.  This is a great dinner show for families with young children who want to be able to get out of their sit and move around. There is no assigned seating for this, so be sure to arrive early! This show is included on select dining plans. Price for this show is $35-$59.

The Hoop De Doo Musical Revue is also held at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground inside Pioneer Hall with 3 different shows (4pm, 6:15pm and 8:30pm) nightly.  Dinner is served family style with BBQ ribs, fried chicken, baked beans, corn on the cob, salad, and strawberry shortcake. Unlimited drinks are included and also for the adults 21+ in your party is beer, wine and sangria. There are three different categories for seating and tier 2 and 3 are included on select dining plan. You will find yourself clapping along and stomping your feet at this hilarious, lively hootenanny that is fun for the whole family. Prices for this show are $59+ for adults and $30+ for children
