The weather is warming up and with warmer seasons comes cooler treats! It’s almost always warm at Walt Disney World and there are lots of delicious ice cream treats to choose from around the resort. You can find ice cream at nearly every restaurant and quick-service location but the following places are some of our favorites to grab a cone, shake, sundae, float, etc.
Plaza Ice Cream Parlor – Magic Kingdom
This sweet shop is located on Main Street U.S.A. and features sumptuous floats and signature waffle-bowl sundaes. And we can’t forget about the famous Kitchen Sink Sundae served in a souvenir bowl shaped like Mickey’s red pants. There’s enough in the Kitchen Sink to share with one or two friends.
L’Artisan des Glaces – Epcot
This artisanal French shop located in the France Pavilion is where you’ll find a flavorful variety of handcrafted frozen treats, including ice cream and sorbet. There are some amazing gourmet flavors ranging from caramel fleur de sel ice cream to mango sorbet.
Beaches & Cream – Disney’s Beach Club Resort
This boardwalk-style ice cream parlor is sure to satisfy your sweet tooth. This shop serves up cool concoctions like sundaes, shakes, sodas, banana splits, and more! You can also indulge in the Fudge Mud Slide or the famous Kitchen Sink, whose bowl is fashioned like a stainless steel sink, and which come piled high with chocolate chunks, Oreos, whipped cream, and a multitude of other toppings. You will definitely need help devouring this Kitchen Sink!
Hollywood Scoops – Hollywood Studios
If you like to have a pastry with your ice cream, then don’t miss this counter-service spot on Sunset Boulevard. Besides the regular ice cream cones, you can get a brownie sundae, apple crisp a la mode, and ice cream sandwiches made with fresh baked cookies!
Ghirardelli Soda Fountain & Chocolate Shop – Disney Springs
If you love the world-famous Ghirardelli chocolate, then you need to make a stop at this ice cream parlor! There is something for everyone on their huge menu. Big, extravagant, over-the-top sundaes are the most popular with guests, but the floats and milkshakes are also worth tasting.
