The Candlelight Processional, for those who are unfamiliar, is Epcot’s captivating retelling of the Christmas Story. This tribute to the origins of Christmas features a 50 piece orchestra, singers from Disney’s Voices of Liberty Choir and Cast Member Choir with visiting choral singers rounding out the ensemble. The Yuletide celebration includes renditions of classic Christmas songs woven together by a rotating cast of guest narrators. Performances kick-off on November 24 and run until December 30, 2017.

Epcot’s Candlelight Processional is FREE to guests with valid park admission making the event exceedingly popular with locals and visitors alike. The performances, held at Epcot’s American Gardens Theatre, run 3 times daily with shows at 5:00pm, 6:45 pm and 8.15 pm. Historically, visitors wanting to take in a Processional performance needed to stake out a spot hours in advances cutting into valuable park time. With this in mind, Disney created a dining package (similar to the Fantasmic! Dining Package at Hollywood Studios) that offers guests who book and pay for a meal at select Epcot restaurants with a guaranteed seat during one of the Candlelight Processional performances.
Tell me more about the Candlelight Processional Dining Package. Guests to Epcot have the ability to make dining reservations at select Epcot restaurants for a Candlelight Package that includes:
- 3 course meal (appetizer, entrée and dessert) or buffet with non-alcoholic beverage
- Advanced seating in the VIP section of the American Gardens Theatre for a performance of the Candlelight Processional
The dining package is available for breakfast, lunch and dinner and operates on a tiered pricing system based on the restaurant. Those on the Disney Dining Plan are able to use their dining credits towards the package. Similarly to dinner shows, the package will use up two table service credits for those on the regular Disney Dining Plan.

Those on the package are given a voucher during their dinner that they use for VIP admission to the theater for their designated Candlelight Processional performances. Therefore, performances must be scheduled after dinner. Dining package guests get to enter the theater before standby guests. However, it is still recommended that those with VIP seating arrive at least 30 minutes beforehand to secure their seats. About 10-15 minutes before the performance, the VIP section opens up to seat stand-by visitors and those on the dining package may not be guaranteed a spot.
