Question: Do I need a park ticket to go to Downtown Disney, and what can I do there?
Answer: A park ticket is not needed to visit Downtown Disney (soon to be renamed “Disney Springs“). Downtown Disney is a shopping and dining area that many choose not to miss on their visits to Walt Disney World. Shopping includes the largest Disney store in the world, appropriately named The World of Disney, as well as The Lego Store, Once Upon a Toy, Disney’s Days of Christmas, and numerous clothing, accessory, and souvenir stores. Dining is also varied and abundant, including Wolfgang Puck venues for both casual and fine dining, Planet Hollywood, Rainforest Cafe, sandwich shops, food trucks, and more. But beyond shopping and dining, there is also bowling, a movie theater, House of Blues, La Nouba by Cirque du Soleil, and Disney Quest – an “indoor theme park” filled with video games, simulators, food, and activities for one price.
So, give Downtown Disney (Disney Springs) a try! There’s something for almost everyone there!
