Exciting things are happening at Disney as more and more experiences are returning. It seems things are definitely on their way back to normal and exciting news is coming out every day! Here are some huge, exciting Disney updates from this past week!
Updated face-mask policy and physical distancing- As of June 15, 2021, fully vaccinated guests do not have to wear face coverings in most indoor and outdoor areas of Disney parks and resorts. Guests still must wear face-coverings while using Disney transportation. We have also seen physical and social distancing requirements all ease up. We are no longer seeing plexiglass and barriers in many places it once was.
Fireworks are officially returning!– For the first time in forever Disney’s famous fireworks shows will resume at both Magic Kingdom and EPCOT parks on July 1! EPCOT will be welcoming a brand new nighttime show, EPCOT Forever.
‘Ohana is finally opening! This very popular restaurant located inside Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is reopening on July 9! Not only is ‘Ohana reopening, but they are reopening AND continuing to serve their popular noodles! When Disney first announced the restaurant’s grand reopening, noodles were missing from the menu! However, now everything is again right in the world and it looks as though the noodles are back!
Attraction pre-shows are returning!- The adorable pre-show to Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway has returned and is yet again part of the attraction! Does that mean more pre-sows are coming back? We certainly hope so!
Animal Kingdom Lodge has announced a reopening date!- Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge deluxe resort will be reopening to all guests starting August 26! Last summer, the resort opened Disney Vacation Club villas but now will open hotel rooms as well. As capacity increases, we are sure to see more and more resorts reopen!
It seems things are headed in the right direction over at Disney World, and in perfect time for the 50th-anniversary celebrations!
