Universal Orlando Resort is about to redefine theme park experiences with the highly anticipated Epic Universe, set to open on May 22, 2025. This fourth park promises to fully immerse visitors in beloved fictional worlds like never before, offering feature-length stories and thrilling adventures across five unique lands. At a recent panel during New York Comic Con, the create minds behind Epic Universe remarked how this park is changing the landscape for theme park design, moving beyond the short term storytelling concept into an era of full-length, feature stories that extend the entire length of the land (initially pioneered with the Wizarding World of Harry Potter).
Ticket Sales and Pricing
Starting October 22, 2024, tickets for Epic Universe will be available for purchase, with an emphasis on multi-day options that include access to Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure, with a dedicated day for exploring Epic Universe. Here’s a breakdown of the multi-day tickets:
- 3-Day Ticket: Two days at Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure, plus one day at Epic Universe.
- 4-Day Ticket: Three days at Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure, plus one day at Epic Universe.
- 5-Day Ticket: Four days at Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure, plus one day at Epic Universe.
Guests can also add Volcano Bay to their ticket for access to all four Universal Orlando parks. Prices for three-day tickets are expected to range from $374.88 to $554.87 per person, depending on the selected dates. Annual Passholders will be the first to have access to single-day tickets for Epic Universe on October 24, although pricing for these tickets has not yet been announced.
Where is Epic Universe Located?
Epic Universe will be situated south of the current Universal Orlando parks, at 1001 Epic Blvd, Orlando, FL 32819. Complimentary shuttle buses will connect Epic Universe with Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, Volcano Bay, CityWalk, and all Universal hotels, ensuring easy access for park-hopping.
What Worlds Will Epic Universe Feature?
Epic Universe is designed around five immersive worlds, each offering a unique experience:
Celestial Park
Upon entering the park through the Emerald Gate under the towering Chronos device, guests will find themselves in Celestial Park—the heart of Epic Universe. This area, filled with living gardens and fountains, transforms as day turns to night. Attractions like Constellation Carousel and Stardust Racers bring cosmic adventures to life, while themed restaurants and retail options provide plenty of reasons to explore this magical world.
How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk
Step into the Viking village of Berk, where you can soar through the skies on Hiccup’s Wing Gliders or challenge yourself at Dragon Racer’s Rally. Meet Toothless and Hiccup, and enjoy the live show The Untrainable Dragon as you embrace your inner Viking.
SUPER NINTENDO WORLD
Enter through the iconic green pipe into SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, featuring Super Mario Land and Donkey Kong Country. Attractions like Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge and Mine-Cart Madness bring classic video games to life. Plus, with your Power-Up Band, you can unlock interactive elements throughout the world.
Dark Universe
Welcome to the eerie world of Darkmoor, where Universal’s classic monsters roam. Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment and Curse of the Werewolf attractions will offer terrifying thrills, while the entire land draws guests into a dark, mysterious atmosphere filled with experiments gone wrong and legendary creatures like Dracula, Frankenstein’s monster, The Phantom of the Opera, and the Wolfman.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic
Fans of Harry Potter will love the latest addition to the Wizarding World. This land spans 1920s Paris, inspired by the Fantastic Beasts series, and the British Ministry of Magic from the Harry Potter films. Guests can enjoy Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry, an immersive dark ride, and experience the live show Le Cirque Arcanus, along with interactive wand experiences throughout the land.
What restaurants will be featured in Epic Universe?
Epic Universe is set to dazzle not only with its immersive worlds and thrilling attractions but also with a variety of themed dining experiences that will transport your taste buds to new realms. Here’s a breakdown of the restaurants and food options across the five themed lands:
Celestial Park:
As the hub of Epic Universe, Celestial Park will greet guests with mythical theming and three distinct eateries:
- The Blue Dragon Pan-Asian Restaurant: A full-service spot featuring Chinese, Japanese, and Thai cuisine, with a neon blue dragon welcoming diners.
- The Oak & Star Tavern: A mysterious barbecue joint with little information currently available.
- Pizza Moon: Offering a variety of pizzas, though specific menu details are yet to be released.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic:
Step into 1920s Paris and enjoy four food and drink spots inspired by the “Fantastic Beasts” and “Harry Potter” universes:
- Café L’Air De La Sirène: A charming French café serving sandwiches and desserts.
- Le Gobelet Noir: A moody gathering spot for international witches and wizards, offering soups, salads, and hearty entrees.
- Bar Moonshine: An American-themed wizarding bar featuring moonshine, beers, and cocktails, decorated with U.S. Quidditch team pennants.
- Bièraubeurre Cart: A cart serving the iconic Butterbeer, or “Bièraubeurre” in French.
Dark Universe:
Inspired by classic Universal Monsters, Dark Universe offers three spooky dining locations in the eerie town of Darkmoor:
- Das Stakehaus: A vampire-themed dining hall offering kebabs, burgers, and sandwiches, run by vampire “familiars.”
- The Burning Blade Tavern: A lively spot for Darkmoor’s monster hunters, featuring burgers, wings, bratwurst, pretzels, and drinks.
- De Lacey’s Cottage: A snack stand serving cinnamon bread, ice cream, and twisted taters, paying homage to Frankenstein’s Monster.
Super Nintendo World:
Get ready to power up with themed snacks in the Mushroom Kingdom and Donkey Kong Country:
- Toadstool Café: Serving whimsical dishes like Super Mushroom Soup and Fire Flower Spaghetti and Meatballs, prepared by Toad chefs.
- Yoshi’s Snack Island & Turbo Boost Treats: Two snack carts offering yet-to-be-revealed treats.
How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk:
Viking feasts await in the land of dragons, with three distinct eateries:
- Mead Hall: A grand Viking dining hall offering meats, fish, sandwiches, and a variety of meads and ciders.
- Spit Fyre Grill: A quick-service spot with meals flame-seared by a dragon cook, overlooking the Fyre Drill ride.
- Hooligan’s Grog & Gruel: A snack stand serving quick bites, with more menu details to come.
Each land promises its own unique dining experiences, fully integrated into the storytelling and theming of Epic Universe!
Are There Hotels Near Epic Universe?
Yes! Three new hotels will be part of the Epic Universe experience:
- Universal Helios Grand Hotel: Located just outside Celestial Park, this luxurious hotel features Mediterranean-inspired design, a zero-entry pool, and exclusive views of the park. Reservations open October 22, with pricing starting at $293 per night (plus tax) for a 4-night stay. While this hotel doesn’t offer Express Pass Unlimited, it is still a top-tier experience, on par with resorts like the Hard Rock Hotel and Sapphire Falls.
- Universal Stella Nova Resort: Opening on January 21, 2025, Stella Nova Resort is inspired by the stars and galaxies. Featuring a stunning pool, a poolside bar, and cosmic-themed decor, this resort will also offer a walking path to Epic Universe.
- Universal Terra Luna Resort: Opening in early 2025, Terra Luna Resort brings the planets to life with its interactive projection displays and planetary-themed decor. Like Stella Nova, it offers an array of dining options and a beautiful swimming pool.

Latest Updates Out of New York Comic Con
During a highly anticipated panel at New York Comic Con, Universal Creative team members revealed new details about Epic Universe, including some details that were previously not released! The creative team, including Steve Bergos, Greg Hall, and Patrick Brard, shared their vision of making Epic Universe a truly transformational experience for guests. Unlike traditional theme parks, where lands are loosely themed and consist of short rides, Epic Universe will immerse guests in feature-length storytelling, building off of the concept of completly immersive expereinces first explored via the construction of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
The creative team emphasized the level of interactivity baked into the park’s design, with a focus on creating experiences that play back with the guests. New attractions like the dual-launch Stardust Racers coaster in Celestial Park and the Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment ride in Dark Universe promise groundbreaking thrills and emotional connections for all guests. Universal’s team also teased a fully immersive queue experience for Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry, where visitors will join Harry, Ron, and Hermione in an action-packed adventure set after the final “Harry Potter” film.
During the panel, we learned the Frankenstein Experiment attraction will feature jump scares in the line queue (although we do not know if this will be via live scare actors or animatronics/experiences built in) and confirmation of two additional characters that will be featured in the land: Phantom of the Opera and the Creature From the Black Lagoon!
