Fantasmic! is a spectacular laser and light show that takes place in the Hollywood Hills Amphitheater, located near “The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror” and “Beauty and the Beast-Live On Stage.” In this thrilling show, Sorcerer Mickey battles Disney Villains in a dazzling display of special effects.

The amphitheater opens 90 minutes before the show starts, and you can bring in outside food or purchase snacks inside. For a priority seating experience and to avoid long lines, consider booking the Fantasmic Dining Package.

The amphitheater features long rows of metal benches that are banked for easy viewing. Designed after the Hollywood Bowl, it can accommodate 11,000 guests. While it might be tempting to sit in the front, the “water screens” used in many sequences can create a light mist that may drift towards the audience.

Fantasmic! originated at Disneyland, and while there are similarities between the Disneyland and Disney World versions, there are also notable differences. Many fans who have seen both prefer the Disneyland version.

The finale is a highlight of the show. A towering 80-foot replica of the steamboat from “Steamboat Willie” features 26 Disney characters waving and singing as they pass by.

Did you know? This spectacular show features animation and characters from over 25 Disney films. The moat surrounding the island stage holds a staggering 1.9 million gallons of water.

In the climactic battle, Mickey Mouse faces off against Maleficent, who transforms into a towering 40-foot dragon. In addition to Maleficent, 10 other Disney villains appear throughout the show. The grand finale features Mickey Mouse and 35 other characters on a steamboat inspired by the one seen in “Steamboat Willie.” Located off Sunset Boulevard, the Hollywood Hills Amphitheater can accommodate up to 6,900 seated guests and an additional 3,000 standing room only.
