If you’ve been watching details trickle in regarding this year’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, chances are you’ve been bombarded with countless photos of all the delicious themed-snacks and treats on offer. But how do you navigate this event if you or a loved one suffers from food allergies?
Disney offers special teal trick-or-treat bags for those with dietary restrictions. Guests arriving at the Magic Kingdom can pick one up near Tony’s Town Square Restaurant and the Liberty Square Ticket Office or at the Trick-or-Treat Locations once the party has started. Here are the official instructions as they appear in the Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Map:
Guests with these teal bags, visit the trick or treat location found on the party map along with the other trick-or-treaters. However, at the locations, instead of being handed a bag of candy, visitors with allergies collect a teal token. Another token will be issued at the next location and so on.
Once the guests have collected all of their tokens they can visit Town Square Theater or the designated Liberty Square location (next to the Hall of Presidents) and choose between a delicious bounty of allergy-friendly offerings including Smarties, Surf Sweets, and Enjoy Life snacks.
Or if sweet treats aren’t your thing, tokens can be traded in for non-food items. Take a look at what’s on offer this year!
Guests can choose between some fun Halloween ornaments or bookmarks!
