4th of July

No matter how great your local 4th of July celebrations may be, chances are they still don’t come close to the Independence Day festivities at Walt Disney World! Disney does everything BIG and it’s no secret that Walt Disney was a huge patriot who loved this country, so it’s no surprise that Disney goes all out for America’s birthday. Here are some ways to celebrate our country’s independence at the most magical place on Earth.

The Magic Kingdom Fireworks Show

It’s finally back! After being put on hold for the past two years Magic Kingdom’s exceptional “Disney’s Celebrate America! A 4th of July Concert in the Sky” will be taking the place of Disney’s “Enchantment” show on July 3rd and 4th. The show takes place at 9:20 pm and is absolutely amazing! No one does fireworks like Disney! Tomorrowland and Frontierland will also have live DJs for those wishing to keep the party going.

Special Food & Beverage Items

It wouldn’t be the 4th of July without some special red, white, and blue snacks! Walt Disney World Resort will have plenty of patriotic treats available throughout the parks, resorts, and Disney Springs. This Star-Spangled Cupcake is definitely one I’d like to try!

Head Over to EPCOT

Disney’s Magic Kingdom Park is not the only park celebrating the birth of our nation! EPCOT is in full patriotic mode for the 4th of July, and Spaceship Earth is lit with our nation’s colors! Of course, be sure to head over to the American Pavilion in the World Showcase and listen to the iconic Voices of Liberty perform. Replacing the nighttime show, “Harmonious”, will be “Heartbeat of Freedom” taking place at 9:20 pm around the World Showcase Lagoon.

Celebrate at a Disney Resort Hotel

One of my favorite ways to celebrate the 4th of July at Disney World is from the comfort of a Disney Resort Hotel. If the crowded parks are just too much for you, book a resort with a fireworks view such as Disney’s Polynesian Resort or The Grand Floridian. Keep in mind, that Disney will likely be checking to make sure all guests viewing fireworks from a resort hotel are actual resort guests. Many resorts also have fun activities and special food and beverage items to enjoy!

There’s really no better place to celebrate any holiday than Disney!
