Incredicoaster: Disney California Adventure’s Top Thrill
For thrill-seekers visiting Disney California Adventure, the Incredicoaster stands tall as a beacon of high-speed adventure and superhero antics. This iconic steel launched roller coaster, nestled within the vibrant Pixar Pier, isn’t just a ride – it’s a mission to help the Parr family in a wild chase to contain the unpredictable powers of baby Jack-Jack! This amazing ride opened on June 23, 2018.

Originally opened in 2001 as California Screamin’, the coaster underwent a fantastic transformation in 2018 to become the Incredicoaster, seamlessly integrating with the lively Pixar Pier. While the track and core mechanics largely remain the same, the reimagining brought an entirely new storyline, immersive effects, character figures, and a thrilling score by Incredibles 2 composer Michael Giacchino.

The Mission: Catch Jack-Jack!
The adventure begins with Edna Mode tasked with babysitting Jack-Jack. However, this isn’t just any baby; Jack-Jack’s rapidly developing, chaotic superpowers lead him to escape, triggering a mad dash across Pixar Pier. Riders become honorary members of the Incredibles, rocketing along the 6,072-foot track in pursuit of the super-powered tot.
From the initial launch, which propels guests from 0 to 55 mph in a blistering four seconds, the Incredicoaster plunges riders into a whirlwind of action. As you zoom through tunnels, you’ll encounter Dash attempting to use his super speed, Elastigirl stretching to grab him, and Violet deploying force fields to contain his fiery outbursts. The ride also features a 108-foot drop and the only inversion at the Disneyland Resort – a thrilling vertical loop that provides an upside-down perspective of Pixar Pier.

A Coaster of Superlatives:
The Incredicoaster is not only the fastest attraction at the Disneyland Resort, reaching its top speed of 55 mph, but it also boasts the title of the longest roller coaster with an inversion in any Disney Park. Standing 122 feet tall, it’s also the tallest roller coaster across all Disney resorts. Designed by Intamin and Werner Stengel, its smooth ride and sophisticated linear induction motor (LIM) launch system ensure a truly “incredible” experience.

So next time you’re at Disney California Adventure, buckle up, join the Supers, and prepare for an exhilarating, laugh-filled, and fast-paced adventure on the Incredicoaster – just try to keep up with Jack-Jack!
