Though Aulani, Disney’s magnificent resort property in Hawaii shares many of the same amenities and fun activities that you’ll find at Disney’s theme parks, resorts and aboard Disney Cruise Line, one popular activity for kids has been noticeably missing- the ability to get a makeover at one of the shops on property. That is until now! Disney announced this week that a new spot has opened up at Aulani, a Disney Resort and Spa similar to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique or the Pirates League that lets children live out their fairytale fantasies through a series of fun makeover options!
At the newly designed Painted Sky: HI Style Studio, both boys and girls between the ages of 3-12 can choose from a variety of packages that include hairstyling, makeup, costumes and accessories. From mermaid makeovers to Moana and Maui, each of the packages on offer are also infused with hints of Hawaii and a big dose of Disney fun!
We are even told that Moana drops by just outside the studio from time to time to say hello which adds to the magical experience. If you pay close attention you’ll also notice other Moana-themed details throughout the property including a floor path in the shape of a hook.
You’ll find the Painted Sky: HI Style Studio located in the Wai’anae Tower which is just outside of Laniwai Spa. This new studio embraces the beautiful Hawaiian surroundings including the rainbows that are common in the Hawaiian skyline. With this in mind, there’s a rainbow that weaves its way through the studio with a special touch of Disney magic thrown in for good measure. Listen closely as you enter Painted Sky and you may even hear the sound of a ukulele playing a familiar tune!
