The Lunar New Year celebration is returning to Disney California Adventure from January 23 through February 18 this year! From culinary delights, fun festivities and Disney Characters, guests can celebrate the Year of the Dragon at the Disneyland Resort. Here’s all we know about this year’s celebration.

Meet Disney Characters
Ring in the Year of the Dragon with Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Mulan, Mushu and friends dressed in vibrant attire inspired by Lunar New Year. This year guests will also get to meet Mei and Ming from Turning Red!
Gather loved ones for cherished photo memories under a gorgeous pavilion bedecked with bamboo, peach blossoms, golden flowers and banners bearing serendipitous holiday wishes.
Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession
It’s the Year of the Dragon! Don’t miss this bright and bold magical march honoring the family, friendship and the potential for a fortune-filled new year.
The show kicks off as the sound of triumphant music fills the air and dozens of beautifully costumed performers populate the street. You won’t be able to take your eyes off this dazzling display featuring Mulan, some Disney pals and a spirited group of Chinese entertainers—a dragon puppet, warriors and dancers.
The procession can be enjoyed multiple times throughout the day during the Lunar New Year celebration.
Vocal Seoul
Celebrate the Year of the Dragon with Vocal Seoul! This sensational group is a cultural bridge of Korean artists that are here to spread their passion for music across the world.

Lunar New Year Wishing Wall
Stroll beneath strings of ornamental lanterns, make a wish and dare to dream big during the new year.
Stop by the Lunar New Year Wishing Wall located in Paradise Gardens—it’s where Lunar New Year magic begins! Guests of all ages are welcome to add their own special message of hope, health and happiness for the upcoming year.
Hurry Home – A Lunar New Year Celebration
Follow Little Lantern on a journey to return home for the annual celebration of good luck and fortune. Accompanied by a stirring musical score, created by Academy Award-winning composer Tan Dun, you’ll be immersed in the magic of a 6-minute tale. This is a fun pre-show for World of Color.

Take part in an exuberant holiday tradition as you enjoy inspired eats—including Chinese, Vietnamese and Korean favorites—at a variety of marketplaces in Paradise Gardens Park, including:
