New Restaurants Coming to Walt Disney World Resort in 2023
If you like to visit Disney World for the food as well as everything else, you won’t want to miss the new restaurants that are coming to the resort in 2023! From BBQ to cakes to coffee, there’s sure to be something for everyone in your party.

Summer House on the Lake is a new dining location coming to Disney Springs. Disney has not shared any specifics about the menu but there are other Summer House locations in Chicago and North Bethesda. Menu items at those locations include sandwiches, salads, pasta, and pizza along with handcrafted beverages. A set opening date has also not been announced but it will be sometime in 2023.
Hopefully opening soon in Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is the Roundup Rodeo BBQ. This restaurant was previously supposed to open in 2022 but the opening was pushed back. This fun dining spot is now scheduled to open in the spring of 2023.
In this unique, fun, family-friendly dining experience, guests will enjoy delicious barbecue fare while surrounded by a kaleidoscope of toys, games, and playsets that Andy has brought together to create his one-of-a-kind rodeo.
Stepping into the lobby and waiting area, guests experience first-hand what it feels like to be one of Andy’s honorary toys, before progressing into two larger dining room spaces where Andy’s rodeo takes place. Here, the rodeo will be in full swing, with western town and train station playsets mixing with surprising, playful details, like some fan-favorite Pixar characters as they’ve never been seen before!
Over at Disney’s BoardWalk, a new coffee spot will be opening soon! Carousel Coffee will be guests’ new go-to spot for their favorite coffee beverages, tea options, and some mouthwatering pastries to indulge in. This location will feature Artisan Roasted Joffrey’s Coffee in its yummy sips. There’s no exact opening date but it should be soon!
Another new restaurant coming to Disney’s BoardWalk is The Cake Bake Shop. This restaurant is replacing the ESPN Club and is slated to open in 2023.
Upon opening, this sweet spot will feature both savory and sweet items on its menu, and of course showcase the incredible cakes that Gwendolyn and her team have created, for brunch, lunch, and dinner. In addition to the regular menu, you’ll also be able to enjoy an elegant afternoon tea service – how lovely! And the offerings don’t stop there. Not only, will there be table-service offerings, but also a quick-service bakery for you to pick up these delicious delights on the go.
There aren’t just cakes here. The restaurant and bakery will serve cookies, French macarons, brownies, dessert bars, pies, and cheesecakes in addition to handmade cakes. These treats aren’t just beautiful but delicious too. The whimsical atmosphere of The Cake Bake Shop and its goodies are sure to be a charming addition to the BoardWalk.
