Disney World‘s newest DVC resort, Disney’s Riviera Resort, is inspired by Europe. Here, you can delight in exhilarating activities, delectable dining, and stylish accommodations—from cozy Tower Studios to spacious villas with up to 3 bedrooms. There are so many great reasons to stay at this beautiful hotel, but let’s go over the top 5.
Location
Disney’s Riviera Resort has the perfect location between Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Riviera used to be part of Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort which means it’s an easy walk between the resorts.
Theming & Art
The Riviera is styled after European vacation hotels near the French, Spanish, and Italian Riviera. European elegance meshes with classic Disney animation. The resort is full of Disney memorabilia. The art and architecture on display at the Riviera impresses so much that you’ll want to visit the resort even when you’re not staying there.
Dining Options
There aren’t a lot of dining options at Riviera, but the ones that are available are perfectly themed for the resort. Bar Riva sells exotic drinks and a few shareable snacks. And Le Petit Café marries the concept of a dreamy French café with a coffee bar. Primo Piatto, the resort’s Quick Service restaurant, carries several menu items that are French, Spanish, and Italian in nature. It has some of the best food you’ll find at a counter service location.
The star of the Riviera is Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera. Located on the top floor, this restaurant delivers stunning views of Disney landmarks while offering a delectable Signature Dining experience. The restaurant also hosts a Mickey Mouse character breakfast each morning.
Rooms
There are four main room types at the Riviera: Deluxe Studio, 1 Bedroom Villa, 2 Bedroom Villa, and Tower Studio. All feature impeccable paintings of beloved Disney characters. Guests will appreciate the spacious nature of the rooms and the efficiency of the design.
The most exciting rooms at are the Tower Studios. They are the first of their kind. They embrace the tiny house/micro-studio culture, as the rooms only sleep two. Tower Studios don’t even come with a drop-down Murphy bed instead of a regular bed. Some of the views from these rooms include the most gorgeous, memorable landmarks on the Disney campus.
Transportation
Besides the regular Disney World bus transportation, the Riviera Resort also has its own Disney Skyliner station. Guests can take a gondola ride from the hotel to Epcot or Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Epcot is just a monorail ride from Magic Kingdom. You can get to three of the parks without getting on a bus.
