It’s August, but the first date of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is only a few days  away! Disney makes sure it’s special for those visiting Walt Disney World in the Halloween season.  If you’ve been on the fence about going to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, then you should consider all the amazing reasons to go to it this year!

1.) Character Photo Ops

A fond Disney World memory for many is when they meet their favorite character for the first time. One special feature of the Halloween party is the ability to meet some of your favorite rare Disney characters. For instance, in past years, Moana, Tarzan, Lotso, and Elvis Stitch are some of the special characters out for the night. We even meet the Seven Dwarfs for a group photo! We hope to see an exciting lineup this season!

Halloween Costumes

One detail to keep in mind is that guests are permitted to wear costumes to the Halloween party. You’ll see a wide range of Disney and non-Disney Halloween costumes as you walk throughout the Magic Kingdom.

2.) Mickey’s Boo-to-You Parade

The nighttime parade for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is my favorite Disney parade of the year. Guests have two opportunities for watching the parade each party night. The Headless Horseman appears just moments before the parade begins and seeing him trot down Main Street. Mickey and his friends lead the parade while wearing their Halloween costumes. They are accompanied by pirates, classic Disney villains, and other colorful friends from Fantasyland in singing “Boo to You!”

3.) Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular

The fireworks show is simply amazing at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.

It’s a story narrative featuring Jack Skellington telling the story of Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and Donald going out to trick-or-treat on Halloween night. It’s awe-inspiring to see Jack walk out on stage. Furthermore, the projection show is visually impressive. Don’t miss watching the dancing skeletons because it’s a thrilling segment to behold. The story mode meshes well with the fireworks.  The finale of the fireworks show is full of energy and ends with a bang!

4.) Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular

The Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular has three showtimes during the event and it’s delightful stage show in front of Cinderella Castle. It’s hosted by the Sanderson Sisters and features an ensemble of villains. The trio of witches remind us why Hocus Pocus is a beloved Halloween film with their comedy.

Frightful Friends

The witches are joined by Dr. Faciliier and Oogie Boogie in musical acts. The third act of the show has an ensemble of classic villains join. when classic villains such as Maleficent, Captain Hook, Jafar, and others appear. Watching the Sanderson Sisters sing “I Put A Spell On You” with other villains on stage is a great way to get into the Halloween spirit.

5.) Special Event Food and Snacks

Disney is known for having special seasonal treats. There are special menu items exclusive to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. You can find other special event treats in each land of Magic Kingdom, so be sure to bring your appetite!
