Disney’s new animated film, Encanto has been a huge success! The film is so popular that Lin-Manuel Miranda, the writer of the film’s hit songs, even pitched an idea to Disney CEO Bob Chapek about Disney adding an Encanto attraction! Now that’s an idea!
What Would an Encanto Attraction Look Like?
During an interview with The Wrap, Miranda says he told Chapek, “I know there’s a world in which this casita lives in a theme park and we get to actually walk through it in real life.” The thought of the casita from Encanto being life-sized and full of Disney magic is such a great idea! I’m imagining an interactive space that really feels alive like the casita from the movie. It would be such a fun and unique attraction to add at Disney.
Where Could this Attraction Go?
One idea for where a new Encanto attraction at Disney World is to reimagine the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse and retheme the attraction into the casita from Encanto. This location could provide the perfect setting for a walk-through attraction. Although I, along with many other guests, enjoy the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse, Disney strives to be ever-changing and growing with the times, and Encanto has really taken the world by storm.
The area around the current Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse could also be reimagined with an Encanto theme, and feature food or snacks inspired by the movie. It really looks as though this popular animated film is set to become a classic! It would be great to see the hit get some representation in the parks!
