There are definitely benefits when it comes to staying on Disney property. Choosing a Disney resort can definitely get overwhelming, as there are so many great resorts. For a larger family, this task can be even more challenging, as most standard rooms can only sleep up to 4. Larger families can try to request 2 adjoining rooms, but there is no guarantee the request will be fulfilled. Luckily, Disney offers rooms that sleep 5 or more in every resort category. Let’s break them down!
Deluxe Resorts- The name says it all! When you are seeking luxury and amenities, Deluxe is the resort category for you! There are lots of options for larger families in the deluxe resort category.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge– Deluxe rooms can sleep up to 5 plus a child in a crib. Suites with club-level services can sleep 4-8 depending on the type of suite.
Disney’s Beach Club Resort- Standard rooms sleep up to 5 plus a child in a crib. Suites with club-level services can sleep 4-8 depending on the type of suite reserved.
Disney’s Boardwalk Inn- Standard rooms sleep up to 5 plus a child in a crib. Suites with club-level services can sleep 4-8 depending on the type of suite reserved.
Disney’s Yacht Club Resort- Standard rooms sleep up to 5 plus a child in a crib. Suites with club-level services can sleep 4-6 depending on the type of suite reserved.
Disney’s Contemporary Resort- Standard rooms sleep up to 5 plus a child in a crib. Suites with club-level services can sleep 4-8 depending on the type of suite reserved.
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa- Standard rooms sleep up to 5 plus a child in a crib. Suites with club-level services can sleep 4-8 depending on the type of suite reserved.
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort- Standard rooms sleep up to 5 plus a child in a crib. Suites with club-level services can sleep 4-9 depending on the type of suite reserved.
Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort- Standard rooms sleep up to 6 plus a child in a crib. Suites with club-level services can sleep 4-6 depending on the type of suite reserved.
Moderate Resorts- Moderate Resorts are the mid-tier option for Disney resorts and have a few more amenities than the value options. There are 3 moderate resorts that can accommodate larger parties.
Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside (Alligator Bayou section)- Sleeps up to 5 guests and includes 2 queen beds and one pull-down twin bed (meant for a young child)
Disney’s Coronado Springs Suites- Sleeps upto 6 (suites sleep 4-6 depending on which type is suite is reserved). The Junior Suites at Coronado Springs include 2 queen beds and 1 sleeper sofa. the Casitas are one-bedroom suites that also include 2 queen beds and one queen sleeper sofa. Gran Destino Tower at Disney’s Coronado springs Resort also boasts 2 luxurious Presidential Suites- the Alcazar and Castillo Suites. These suites are located on the 15th floor, and offer 1,875 sq feet of living space! These suites are truly fit for royalty and come with a master bedroom featuring a king-size bed and a second bathroom featuring 2 queen beds.
The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort- Sleeps up to 6 guests and includes 1 full bed, 1 bunk bed, 1 murphypull-down bed, a full kitchen, and one bathroom.
Value Resorts- Value Resorts are the most budget-friendly hotes on Disney property and offer 2 options for larger families.
Disney’s Art of Animation Family Suites- Sleeps up to 6 guests and includes a master bedroom with a queen bed, 1 full-size pullout sofa bed, and 1 dining room table that converts to a double bed. Also included are a full kitchenette and two separate bathrooms.
Disney’s All-Star Music Family Suites- Sleeps up to 6 guests and includes a master bedroom with a queen bed, 1 full-size sofa pullout bed, a convertible twin ottoman, and a convertible twin chair. The suite also comes equipped with a full kitchenette and two separate bathrooms.
If your family is in need of even more room, Disney Deluxe Villas can also be reserved. These deluxe Villas often come with separate bedrooms, full kitchens, and multiple bathrooms. Villas are attached to Deluxe Resorts and offer all of the amenities of the Deluxe Resorts they are attached to. Since these villas are part of the Disney Vacation Club (DVC), guests can choose to rent directly through DVC owners or book through Disney.
