Top 4 Reasons to Stay at a Disney Skyliner Resort

With all of the resorts available at Disney World, it can be tough deciding where to stay! The Disney Skyliner resorts offer great perks and wonderful amenities. There are four resorts on the Disney Skyliner loop: Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s Riviera Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort, and Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. All three resort levels (value, moderate, and deluxe) have at least one resort on the loop.

Here are our top four reasons to stay at one of the Disney Skyliner resorts during your next visit to Walt Disney World.

Spectacular Views

Whether you are taking the Disney Skyliner to a theme park or just riding for fun, you will experience some amazing views! There is something truly magical about seeing the Walt Disney World Resort from the Skyliner.

You can soar over Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and take in the beautiful water and lovely colors of the resort. Both arriving and departing from Epcot you’ll get glimpses of World Showcase (hello Eifel Tower and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure!) as well as Spaceship Earth. If you time it right in the evening, you could even catch Epcot’s current nighttime show from the sky!

Dining Options

Many guests visit Disney World for the food as much as for the rides and attractions. The Disney Skyliner resorts offer a variety of unique dining experiences. Disney’s Pop Century and Art of Animation Resorts both offer wonderful food courts for guests to enjoy. Stop in for a quick bite then enjoy exploring the resorts and their amazing larger-than-life icons.

Disney’s Riviera Resort & Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort both offer nicer restaurants with table service meals. Topolino’s Terrace at Riviera offers an amazing and extremely popular character dining breakfast experience. In the evening, the restaurant transforms into a signature dining experience. Guests enjoy a high-end meal with amazing views of Walt Disney World. Sebastian’s Bistro over at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort also offers a table service meal with a variety of delicious flavors.

For a fun, adult experience, these resorts also offer a variety of different bars and lounges. Stop at one or two for a drink and small bite or take yourself on a Disney Skyliner Resort “pub crawl”.

Transportation

The Disney Skyliner is one of the best transportation options Disney World has to offer! Guests staying at the Skyliner resorts have easy access to two theme parks: Epcot & Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is the Skyliner hub so guests at that resort don’t have to transfer to the other Skyliner loop when heading to either park.

Because the Disney Skyliner is constantly moving, the lines move quickly! There is typically a lower wait time for the Skyliner versus the Disney buses and boats, even at park opening and closing.

Travel time on the Skyliner is also relatively short. Each leg takes under ten minutes! Guests staying at Disney’s Caribbean Beach or Riviera Resorts can easily be to either Epcot or Hollywood Studios in ten minutes or less. That is a huge time saver!

If you plan to spend a lot of time at Epcot or Disney’s Hollywood Studios, staying at a Disney Skyliner resort is a major advantage!

Epcot’s International Gateway

If you love World Showcase at Epcot and plan to spend a good amount of time in the country pavilions, you’ll want to stay on the Skyliner loop. Guests arriving at Epcot from the Skyliner get dropped right at Epcot’s International Gateway which gives them quick and easy access to World Showcase.

Explore each country pavilion, enjoy food and drinks during festivals, and get on some of the more popular rides (Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure) before the park gets crowded with the guests coming in the front entrance!
