Congratulations! You’ve decided to vacation at the most magical place on earth! Your exciting journey will be full of excitement, planning and some important decisions. One of the biggest is deciding which fabulous Disney property to choose. A wonderful feature of Disney’s value, moderate and deluxe resorts is that each offers something special and caters to different needs. Whether it’s theming, price or proximity to the parks, there is a resort for everyone. Disney’s Boardwalk Inn, Disney’s Yacht Club and Disney’s Beach Club are deluxe properties with some tempting attributes.

Theming – Just outside the back gates of EPCOT are the resorts in Disney’s Boardwalk area. Whether it’s a turn of the century Atlantic City or a New England style resort you’re looking for, we’ve got you covered. These deluxe resorts offer accommodations ranging from standard rooms to club level suites. Take a leisurely stroll around crescent lake, and channel days past in beach towns like Atlantic City and Coney Island. You can sail around in a mini power boat or rent bikes to explore the area around the lake
Villa Accommodations – Disney Vacation Club (the timeshare division of Disney) has villa accommodations at both Beach Club and Boardwalk. You can choose a studio (similar to a hotel room) or opt for one with one to three bedrooms. These are great for larger families who need more space to spread out. All villas (besides the studios) offer full kitchens, separate living and sleeping quarters and a washer/dryer.
Entertainment – Disney’s Coney Island style Boardwalk offers a wide array of entertainment for all ages. You can play carnival games, watch the night time performers and do a little shopping. Play games like foosball, air hockey, pool, ping pong, darts and more at Boardwalk Community Hall. You can also dance the night away Atlantic Dance Hall or watch piano maestros in an exciting show of dueling Pianos at Jellyrolls (both for guests over 21 years of age). The resorts also offer excellent pools with exciting water slides. Beach and Yacht Club have Stormalong Bay, a 3 acre water wonderland.
Dining choices – With 3 Disney Resorts within walking distance to each other (as well as The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin) there is something to satisfy anyone. Asian, Italian, seafood, steak, hot dogs, burgers, bakery items and character dining are just some of the options waiting for you. It will be hard to drag sports enthusiasts away from the ESPN Club. With nearly 100 video monitors featuring global satellite feeds, you’re sure to catch the game of your choice. You won’t miss a play even if you take a bathroom break, there are tv’s in each stall! You are also a stones throw away from World Showcase in EPCOT where the dining choices multiply.
Location, location, location! – This area has arguably the best location in Disney World. EPCOT and Hollywood Studios are a boat ride away from each of the resorts on a Disney Friendship Launch. If you prefer walking, EPCOT is a 5-15 minute walk to the International Gateway. This “back” entrance will drop you in World Showcase right in between France and the UK. The walk to Hollywood Studios is a bit longer, but very scenic. Follow the sidewalk along the waterway, say hi to the ducks and wave to the Friendship Launches on their way to the park. On nice sunny days this is the choice for my family.
