Understanding the Disney Dining Plans
Disney Dining Plans, also known as Disney Dining Packages, are optional add-ons available for guests staying at Walt Disney World Resort hotels. These plans offer a pre-paid system for meals and snacks during your vacation.
Guests staying at Walt Disney World Resorts can add a Disney Dining Plan to their vacation in two ways:
- Modify an Existing Reservation: If you already have a resort reservation, you can easily add a dining plan to it.
- Book a Disney Vacation Package: When booking your vacation package, you can include a dining plan as part of your overall reservation.
By choosing a Disney Dining Plan, you pre-pay for some of your meals and snacks throughout your vacation.

Guests can choose from two different Disney Dining Plans, each offering a unique set of benefits depending on their dining preferences. The number of dining plan credits awarded to each guest aged 3 and over is determined by the length of their stay. Let’s explore these options in more detail!
Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan
This dining plan is great if you’re always on the move and don’t want to worry about making reservations for sit-down meals.
Everyone in the party ages 3 and over receives the following:
- 2 Quick-Service Meals (per night of stay)
- 1 Snack/Nonalcoholic Drink (per night of stay)
- 1 Resort-Refillable Drink Mug
Specific number of meals and snacks are determined by the number of nights included in the package stay. Meals and snacks can be redeemed at any time during your stay. Unused meals and snacks will roll over day to day and expire at midnight on day of checkout. Meals and snacks are nontransferable between party members.
Disney Dining Plan
This plan provides a diverse dining experience, with options ranging from convenient quick-service meals to delectable dining at over 50 table-service locations across Walt Disney World.
Everyone in the party ages 3 and over receives the following:
- 1 Quick-Service Meal (per night of stay)
- 1 Table-Service Meal (per night of stay)
- 1 Snack/Nonalcoholic Drink (per night of stay)

Reservations at Table-Service restaurants are subject to availability and are highly recommended. Two table-service meals will be redeemed from the dining plan for each person dining at a Fine/Signature Dining experience, select Character Dining experience or a Dinner Show.
How to use Your Dining Plan
Follow these simple steps to enjoy delicious meals and tasty treats with your dining plan.
Step One: Choose a Restaurant
Review a list of restaurants participating in your dining plan. Remember, advance dining reservations are highly recommended for Table-Service restaurants.
Step Two: Show ID
Simply present your valid Disney Resort ID (MagicBand, Disney MagicMobile pass or Key to the World card) to your server or cashier at participating restaurants.
Step Three: Track It
There are 3 easy ways to track your dining plan meals and snacks.
- Use the My Disney Experience app
- Check your most recent dining receipt
- Visit the Resort Concierge or any Guest Relations location and ask about your remaining meals and snacks
To track your remaining meals and snacks via the My Disney Experience app, visit the “My Resort Stay” section. Then, select “Check Dining Plan” to view the status of your dining plan meals and snacks—total issued, already redeemed and still available.
You can also use your dining plan while using the Mobile Order service on your My Disney Experience app.
