The Backlot Club is an all-new Digital Scare Experience at Halloween Horror Nights
Think you’ve survived everything Halloween Horror Nights can throw at you? Think again. This year, Universal is adding a whole new layer of frightful fun with the Backlot Club, an interactive digital scavenger hunt that turns your scream-filled night into a collectible quest.

The Backlot Club is live at both Universal Studios Florida and Universal Studios Hollywood, blending mobile tech with HHN’s chilling atmosphere. Once you sign up through the Universal Orlando or Hollywood app, you’ll find glowing kiosks scattered around the event—each linked to haunted houses, scare zones, and exclusive experiences. Tap your phone or scan the station to collect digital medallions, then keep exploring to complete your set.
Why stop at survival when you can earn prizes? Each medallion unlocks rewards like:
- Digital collectibles to track your progress in the app
- Weekly physical prizes, including limited-edition trading cards available at select in-park stores
- And the Ultimate Medallion, a special collectible for completing every digital find—bragging rights included

Universal even teases new weekly “drops,” meaning diehard HHN fans will have fresh scares (and prizes) to chase each visit. With designs inspired by this year’s houses and monsters, these trading cards are bound to become must-haves for collectors.
So if you needed another excuse to brave the fog again (and again), the Backlot Club just gave you one. Grab your phone, sharpen your nerves, and prepare to scan your way through the screams—because the next scare might just come with a collectible twist.
