Are you on a search to find your favorite mouse? Tracking down Mickey Mouse is easier than you may think. Although he can be found in all of the four parks in Walt Disney World, the park that gives you the most opportunities for spotting Mickey is The Magic Kingdom. Mickey can be found in numerous places throughout the day in parades, shows and a meet-and-greet. Mickey Mouse is there first thing in the morning to open the park and he ends the night in the Main Street Electrical Parade. Here is a list of places to get a visual on Mickey himself.
- In front of the entrance to the Magic Kingdom. If you are lucky enough to arrive prior to park opening, you will get to see a train full of Disney Characters pull up to the Main Street station. Here they will disembark, wave hello to all the waiting crowds and officially ‘open’ the park. Mickey is there front and center welcoming you to the Magic Kingdom, complete with singing and fireworks of course!
- The Town Square Theater just as you enter mainstreet. This is where Mickey’s official Meet-and -Greet is located. Your times guide will give you his schedule for the day! This is your best spot for photos, autographs and hugs from the main mouse!
- The Festival Of Fantasy Parade, every afternoon along the parade route from Frontierland past the castle and down Main Street.
- Dream Along With Mickey, in front of Cinderella’s Castle. This high energy show involves most of your beloved Disney Characters with Mickey front and center. Tickets are not required, just grab a spot in front of the castle and enjoy the music and dancing with Mickey and friends. There are multiple showtimes throughout the day so don’t worry if you miss one!
- Move It! Shake It ! Dance and Play it! Street Party steps off in front of Cinderella’s Castle around the hub. Mickey is in his ‘party’ clothes, dancing and moving to the music! You may even catch him taking a ‘selfie’!
- The Main Street Electrical Parade heads down main street when the sun goes down, and Mickey is there in his light-up Tuxedo!
These opportunities are all within the Magic Kingdom, however it is worth mentioning that just a quick trip from the Magic Kingdom on the monorail or resort launch boat can get you up close and personal with Mickey at these three locations:
- Chef Mickey’s restaurant in the Contemporary Resort. A character buffet seving breakfast, lunch and dinner.
- Mickey’s Backyard BBQ at Fort Wilderness Campground. Stomp your feet, clap your hands with Mickey and the gang at an outdoor buffet BBQ where you can square dance with the mouse himself!
- ‘Ohana restaurant in the Polynesian Village Resort. The family style character breakfast lets you get pictures and autographs along with a hug from Mickey!
Have fun tracking down that mouse!
