While we are busy enjoying Pumpkin spice everything and preparing to greet trick or treaters, Disney is hard at work preparing to greet guests this Christmas season! To get into the holiday spirit, we have rounded up our favorite holiday celebrations from around Walt Disney World this year for you.
Mickeys Very Merry Chrismas Party
Quite possibly our favorite Disney event of the year! There is just so much to do and see at this party. MVMCP is really a treat for the senses. Some of our favorite parts of the party are the treats! Complimentary cookies and hot cocoa are available at various locations throughout the Magic Kingdom. Experience more of your favorite attractions in much less wait time with shorter waits on many Magic Kingdom favorites. The Jungle Cruise even transforms itself into the Jingle Cruise for a holly, jolly twist on a beloved favorite! Another thing we are sure to never miss is the amazing parade! If like me, you grew up watching “Disney’s Very Merry Christmas Parade” on tv, this is an experience that will be absolutely magical, and at even produce a year or two. The parade is called “Once Upon a Christmas Time” now, and many floats are different but the spirit and feel of the parade are very much the same. Be sure to check out a Frozen Holiday Wish and witness magic in the making as Elsa transforms Cinderella Castle into an Ice Palace! Stick around for Holiday Wishes, a spectacular fireworks show set to Christmas musical favorites both old and new! This event does require a separate ticket, not included with regular Park at admission.
International Festival of the Holidays
We are looking forward to visiting Epcot this Christmas to experience WInter Holidays from around the world! Sample International holiday favorites at Holiday Kitchens around world showcase, and maybe bring give a recipe for a new family tradition in your home; Hear storytellers from around the world describe holiday traditions in their home countries. We are also looking forward to going on a scavenger hunt to find Chip and Dale hiding in Christmas Trees around The World Showcase. Cap it all off with the beloved Candlelight Processional. On select nights this Christmas season the Biblical story of Christmas come alive in the American Gardens Theater with a reading by a celebrity narrator and music by candlelight. This beloved tradition is one we are very excited about. Over in Future World check out the soulful sounds of JOYFUL! A celebration of the Season.
Flurry of Fun
This year bring even more Holiday fun to Hollywood Studios! We’ve long been fans of Jingle Bell Jingle Bam, the laser projection and firework spectacular search for Santa is arguably one of the best nighttime entertainment shows, in any park year round! This year Toy Story Land is getting in on the action! We can’t wait to see our favorite characters dressed in their holiday best! extra holiday magic will be around every playful corner in Toy Story Land! Don’t miss Sunset Season’s greetings either. This projection shows combines some of our favorite Disney characters and adds in classic Christmas favorites for a truly amazing show! Echo Lake is also decked out in Christmas cheer, we always enjoy spitting all of the details that can be found in the decor.
Diwali
Christmas isn’t the only Holiday being celebrated at Disney Parks! Diwali, a festival of lights celebrated in India and much of Southern Asia has come to “Up! A Bird Adventure”. We are excited to see just how this enchanting holiday will be incorporated into the show!
