Q: What is the best airport to fly in to for Disneyland?
A: My family prefers to fly in to the John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California. Another airport close to Disneyland is the Los Angeles International Airport. We like the John Wayne better because it’s closer to the Disneyland Resort. It takes about 30 minutes to get to your hotel (if you’re staying near the resort) rather than an hour.
John Wayne Airport is also preferable to us because it’s a smaller airport and is easier to navigate than LAX. We’ve found that we’re able to get our luggage and rental car and be on our way quicker than if we flew into Los Angeles International airport. That ends up giving us more time to spend at the parks or relax at the hotel (depending on what time our flight arrives). Shuttles are also available to take you from the airport to your hotel for a fee.
Of course you can always fly into Long Beach Airport (LGB), Bob Hope Airport (BUR), or Ontario International Airport (ONT) too. For more information click here.
