Rivers of Light

On April 22nd, Disney World and Animal Kingdom are bringing us a new nighttime experience, Rivers of Light. This is the first nighttime show ever for Disney’s Animal Kingdom and will be one of the most memorable. Moving fountains, water screens, lasers, projections and light effects come together to create something special.

Rivers of Light will take place on Discovery River, in the Asia section of the park, portraying an ancient lantern festival guided by two storytellers who call forth four animal Spirit Guides- an Asian Tiger, Tropical Turtle, African Elephant and Great Horned Owl. Each of these Spirit Guides will return throughout the show and take us on their journey through the Rivers of Light.

In addition to the Rivers of Light spectacular, there will be nighttime safari rides on Kilimanjaro Safaris featuring new nocturnal animals such as, African painted dogs and hyenas. As well as, a nightly street party on Discovery Island, that will include musicians, dancers, stilt walkers and much more.

Let the countdown begin until we discover the magic coming to life nightly at Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
