Are you a Disney Visa card member? One of the very fun perks of this card is getting a private special meet and greet with your favorite Disney characters!
At special locations in Walt Disney World and Disneyland when you present your Disney Visa card, you gain special access to meet and pose with some of your favorite Disney characters. As an added bonus, you’ll receive complimentary downloads of your photos.
There are several locations in Disney where you can meet characters, but these exclusive experiences are different. First, there really is no line. We were able to walk right up, show them our Disney Visa and get right in to interact with the characters. Second, the interactions are also longer than the other ones. Darth Vader had a full on conversation with my son about trying to get him to join the dark side! The Disney photographers took photos with my camera as well as theirs.
Disneyland Resort
There are 2 Disney character experiences in the Disneyland Resort: one in Disneyland Park and the other in California Adventure. You will need to show them your Disney Visa card at each picture location to gain access.
The location inside Disney California AdventurePark in Hollywood Land (next to Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue.)
You can visit various characters daily from 10:30am – 1:30pm. We got to meet and interact with Stitch from the movie “Lilo and Stitch.”
I love how the Disney photographers started taking pictures of my kid’s faces from the moment they turned the corner. We got over 10 photos to download with Stitch.
The location in Disneyland is a Star Wars character experience at the Star Wars Launch Bay in Tomorrowland.
You get to be one with the force daily from 2:00pm – 6:00pm.
Both times we visited this location we got to meet and interact with Darth Vader. My in-laws were with us on one of our trips and they got to come in and be part of the interaction as well.
At the end of your character interactions, the Disney photographer will scan your photo pass card if you have one or give you a new one if you need it. Then when you get home you can log on to the website and download your photos.
Walt Disney World Resort
There are also 2 exclusive locations where you get to meet your favorite characters. One is in Epcot and the other is in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The 1stlocation is in the Disney Visa Photo Spot at Epcot in Future World, next to Journey Into Imagination With Figment. You can visit daily from 1:00pm – 7:00pm. Characters will vary at this location.
The 2ndlocation is a Star Wars character experience at the Star Wars Launch Bay in the Animation Courtyard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This open daily from 11:00am – 4:00pm.
Cardmembers who have a MagicBand still need to present your Disney Visa card at the card member character experience locations to gain access, even if you have your Disney Visa card linked to a MagicBand.
In Disney World, they will scan your MagicBand and your photos will be in you’re My Disney Experience account to download.
If you are a Disney Visa card member don’t forget about this exclusive perk next time you visit the parks!
