Things are finally returning back to normal at Walt Disney World. More of our favorite restaurants and attractions are being brought back and more resort hotels are opening. Guests now have multiple deluxe resorts to choose from as well as 3 value resort options. But many guests have been waiting patiently for the Port Orleans moderate resorts to reopen. Port Orleans Riverside and Port Orleans French Quarter have remained closed since shutting down for the pandemic. While we have no reopening dates yet, we really hope they will open soon! There is just so much to love about these resorts.
The boat to Disney Springs. Both of these beautiful resorts sit along the Sassagoula River and offer boat transportation to Disney Springs. It is so fun to take the boat over for shopping or dining.
The resorts are both so tranquil and relaxing. Both Port Orleans Resorts are tranquil in their own right. Port Orleans Riverside has breathtaking grounds and has buildings themed to resemble old Southern mansions. With beautiful gardens and white pillars, there is so much old Southern charm to take in. Port Orleans French Quarter is by far the smallest of the moderate resorts and perfect for guests who don’t want to walk long distances to and from the bus. French Quarter is so easy to navigate and that is a huge plus for a lot of guests!
The Resorts are both beautifully themed! With French Quarter having a subtle Mardi Gras theme and Riverside with its Southern charm, both resorts offer beautiful theming. Port Orleans Riverside even kicks the theming up a notch and offers Royal Guest Rooms. That’s right, these rooms are princess-themed and fit for Disney royalty! A huge bonus is that both resorts have newly refurbished rooms!
The price! We can’t leave out the fact that moderate resorts equal a more moderate price point. Who wouldn’t want the feel of a deluxe resort with the price of a moderate? With prices on the rise, it won’t be surprising if more guests opt for moderate resorts.
The food and pools! Did you know that the two Port Orleans resorts share amenities such as pools? Guests are free to use all pools at both resorts while staying at any Port Orleans resort! Both resorts boast beautiful pools! As for the food, I have one word- BEIGNETS! You can get Mickey-shaped Beignets at both resorts! Feeling like a table service dinner? Boatwright’s Dining Hall at Riverside has you covered! Both resorts also have food courts with plenty of options.
So Disney, could you pretty please hurry and open these resorts back up?
