Last week we received the exciting news that Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge was opening back up! The resort has only been utilizing the Disney Vacation Club villas since reopening. Starting August 26, the beautiful resort will open back up for all guests! This is great news, especially in preparation for the 50th-anniversary celebrations set to take place this fall. There is something so magical and special about Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. It really is a resort every Disney addict should try to visit! Here are my top reasons-
The Animals- Guests literally feel as if they were whisked away to an African savannah when staying here. It is unbelievable to see giraffes and zebras from your hotel balcony. This resort is a truly immersive experience, and I’m not sure there’s any place in the USA quite like it. You get all of the African savannah vibes yet only have to travel to Florida.
The Dining- So far, we do not have information on the reopening of popular restaurants Jiko or Boma. We are hopeful that these locations open soon to give guests more variety. Under normal circumstances when all dining locations are open, Animal Kingdom Lodge has some of the absolute restaurants of any Disney resort. Sanaa is currently open and serving guests delicious Indian and African-inspired cuisine with amazing savannah views.
The Theming- Disney is known for immersive theming and this resort is no exception. From the beautiful lobby to the rooms, no detail was overlooked when building this resort. You will not feel as though you are in just any ordinary hotel while staying here.
The Pool- Guests of all ages love the beautiful pool at Animal Kingdom Lodge. It really is one of the most beautiful pools found at Disney World.
Have you ever stayed here? If not, be sure to put it on your Disney bucket list!
