There’s so much incredible merchandise available at this year’s Epcot International Food & Wine Festival that those looking for souvenirs will be spoiled for choice. And though we love a fun pair of Figment ears as much as the next person, we here at Disney Addicts find that our favorite Food & Wine merchandise tends to be those with a practical purpose and ones that enhance or festival experience. Here’s our list of 4 items that you might want to consider purchasing during your next visit.
1. Plastic Food Trays – Next time you’re browsing at Festival Center, you may want to pick up one of these handy souvenir trays. As you traverse a busy World Showcase, seats and tables can be at a premium. However, this convenient purchase allows you to carry around your food items with you and even comes with a cup holder for the your wine, cocktail or other beverage. Their compact size and light-weight material also mean that they’re easy to stow away in your park bag when not needed. This is a must-buy item for us when we visit each year.
2. Food & Wine Tasting Sampler – If you know you’re going to be trying out a lot of different options while at Food & Wine than the Tasting Sampler is the way to go. It is essentially a pre-paid voucher that includes 8 coupons that you can redeem at the over 35 Market locations scattered around the theme park. Each voucher entitles the user to one food or beverage item of your choice and comes with a handy lanyard making it easy to access when you need to hand one over for your purchases. This year the Tasting Sampler also comes with a limited edition trading pin. The cost for this year’s sampler is $65.00 plus tax per person.
3. Food & Wine Gift Card Wristlets – Visitors to the Food & Wine Festival looking to put a cap on your food budget or those looking for a nice alternative to digging around in your bag every time you want to make a payment may want to consider picking up a wristlet from Festival Center or other locations across Epcot. A minimum balance is required of $15 to load the card. Those adding a balance of $200 or more get a premium card with lanyard and plastic sleeve.
4. Remy’s Ratatouille Hide and Squeak Map and Sticker Page – For family’s tackling Food & Wine with little ones, or for those kids at heart, stop by the following locations to pick up this starter kit for the Ratatouille themed scavengar hunt that happens every year during Food & Wine.
- Disney Traders
- Pin Central
- Port of Entry
- Festival Cnter
- World Traveler @ the International Gateway
The premise for the hunt is that you are helping Remy gather ingredients for one of his signature dishes. You will find him hidden at various spots throughout the World Showcase. Once the hunt is completed the map can be turned into Port of Entry. In return you’ll receive a commemorative keychain from a special Hide & Squeak Series. The cost for the starter set is $5.99 plus tax.
So prior to setting off on your trip around the World Showcase, stop by the Festival Center and purchase one or a few of these handy items to enchance your Festival experience!
