Since its opening, fans of Animals and Disney alike have been flocking to Disney’s Animal Kingdom to enjoy the combination of Magic and Adventure. Yet, there is so much that the fans of this beloved park do not get to see. Every day, important conservation work is being done behind the scenes. Luckily for us, Disney+ and National Geographic have teamed up to give us access to what it takes to work with some of the most special cast members of Animal Kingdom.
- A Lot More Than Just Animal Kingdom
- This series will go beyond the park! According to Dr. Mark Penning, “Magic of Disney’s Animal Kingdom,” from National Geographic, will provide an all-access pass to explore the magic of nature within Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, and The Seas with Nemo & Friends at EPCOT, and it’s the ultimate tribute to the magnificent array of more than 300 species and 5,000-plus animals cared for by our dedicated and highly skilled team at Walt Disney World Resort.”. Long story short? This series will not only give us a view of what goes on to take care of creatures at Animal Kingdom but EPCOT as well!
- 5 Months, 8 Parts and Josh Gad
- The 8 part docu-series took 5 months to shoot! To properly tell the story of our hardworking animal caretakers – and the animals themselves, Josh Gad (Voice of Olaf from Frozen and Frozen II) will be doing the narration!
- Hard Work Pays Off
- The hard work that goes into working for each animal has multiple payoffs.
- Enjoyment: For visitors and fans, of course!
- Education: Being face to face with an animal whose species is threatened or whose environment is threatened is important when it comes to changing the outcome. Bringing its visitors up close to these creatures is important in order to bring positive change in the future
- Conservation: Taking care of these animals and learning about how they behave is crucial for the future as well. The more we know now, the better we can be to who we share this planet with.
