3 Tips for Booking a Cheap Flight for Walt Disney World 1

The question of “When Should You Book your Trip to Disney World” is a tough one! There are many factors that you have to take into account. Would you like lower wait times? Do crowds stress you out? Are you going with someone in school? The questions are endless, but we’re here to give you 3 simple tips that should make your planning that much easier!

  1. Avoid the Holidays
    • There, I said it. If you want to navigate your way around expensive flights – you’re going to have to do your best to avoid glitz and glamour of major holidays. This is not going so far as to say you won’t get to enjoy ANY of Walt Disney Worlds’ special events – but they will be more limited. Times like Halloween, Christmas, New Year, Easter and the 4th of July are going to see higher ticket prices and larger crowds at the park.
  2. Examine that School Calendar!
    • Whether you are traveling with kids or not, it is good to keep an eye on their breaks and vacations! If you spot a week-long vacation coming up, chances are that many parents have seen this as well and have planned ahead. These breaks are a great time for students, young and old – as well as their families, to head to Disney World for some much-needed rest and relaxation from school. This may also mean a battle for affordable tickets and for prices to skyrocket – so be mindful of those breaks!
  3. Quiet after the Storms
    • With those two tips out of the way, your best chance to get lower priced tickets as well as lower crowds are when these monster holidays and breaks are over!
      • One of the quietest times for the parks is soon after Summer vacation is over and when school is back in session. This can continue until roughly mid-October. Keep in mind that October does have the coveted Halloween parties – as well as Food and Wine in Epcot. This may be critical to take advantage of slower days at Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios on busier days.
      • November is a great month to travel to Orlando. Whilst most people are making their Thanksgiving plans at home, you can be making those plans at the Magic Kingdom. Though Thanksgiving and the days around it are always busy, plan earlier within the month when school is less likely to be off.
      • Another great time to look for your flight is mid-January to February. The holidays are over, kids are back to school and everyone is back to work. Instead of feeling depressed with the post-holiday blues, you could be flying to Florida for a cheaper flight and lighter crowds as well!

There is no exact science with getting the cheapest of flights.  You might be luckier than others with snagging that cheap ticket, but with these three tips, hopefully it’ll lead you to tickets with the price you desire. Good luck and happy hunting!
